Scream Factory Releases Collector’s Edition of King Kong 1976 with lost extended TV broadcast footage restored during a new scan of the film to HD. There are also a ton of actually new behind the scenes stuff for a film buff to enjoy. Reminder, this is the King Kong remake with Jeff Bridges and Jessica Lange.

Speaker 1:

Hey, John, I want to ask you a question. What the hell happened last week?

Speaker 2:

Well, we delivered an action pack review of a must watch the lone movie called Cobra. And tonight we see. Yeah, it is pretty sweet. So tonight let's see if we can top it. Also, we learn how to eat pizza by using scissors on tonight's show. Let's see, we're going to start this binge watcher adventure. There's another adventure in binge watching with the professional binge Watchers. We're going to have a conversation about a cure for wellness, correct?

Speaker 3:

A cold box of wine. Oh, pull something cold on ice because it's the binge watches[inaudible]

Speaker 2:

But first let's skip over to my man. AA is delivering this week's whom? Video headlines. Okay. Sweet. We got some home video headlines coming your way. Uh, so here's some cool news, uh, scream factory, uh, releases a collector's edition of King Kong, 1976 with loss, extended TV broadcast footage. It was restored during a new scan of the film, uh, when they're converting it to HD. Uh, we got a lot of, uh, like a ton of new behind the scenes stuff for the film I give here. If you're like a Kong buff, that sounds weird, but you know, I'm gone with it. If you're a Kong buff, then there's a reminder that this is the King Kong remake. It's got Jeff Bridges in it has a Jessica Lange in it. And, uh, or is that Lang, do I say that? Lang Lang physical lines. He's famous. Yeah, because Modi is last week, brother. Well, he didn't direct it, right? It's laying brother. Yeah. Okay. I thought it was, I thought it was Jessica Lange, but man, it could be lanch if you're a weirdo. Okay. So Nick, uh, I know that you don't, you like hate Kong movies. What do you think about this?

Speaker 1:

I've never hated a con movies. Actually. This was a movie that introduced me to Kong. I am excited

Speaker 2:

If he goes off script, train wreck.

Speaker 1:

I love con movies, man. I love it. Yeah. Actually really liked this version of Kong. So I'm excited about it. I would love to see this version for sure. And I love just Jeff Bridges in it. I think he, I think he did

Speaker 2:

Great. Okay. I remember seeing it. I thought it was pretty fantastic as well. Yeah. And it's a guy in a costume

Speaker 4:

And you know what it works. I think it actually looks great. No, no. CGI. It's all practical and it looks, it's not anime. I know. I know Dave might not, might not like this by the way. Was it Rick Braker? Uh, Rick Baker or what's his name?

Speaker 5:

What do you think about con 76 coming out with the special edition?

Speaker 4:

Looking forward to getting to check it out for the first time? Cause I have not seen this version yet. So how have you not seen this? I don't know, man. I've always like, I'm an old school Kong fan and I do like the Peter Jackson one, but I never made my way to this one. So this will give me the perfect chance to check it out in crisp HD.

Speaker 5:

So

Speaker 4:

I mean, John, you seem to have a love for it. What are you, what do you think of?

Speaker 5:

I love King Kong, 76. Um, it could be, I'm a little bit biased because this is the first King Kong that I saw as a kid was the Jeff Bridges, Jessica Lange version. But I'm pretty sure I did see some of the TV broadcast version that has been lost for awhile. I'm super excited to get this box set in my hand and take a look at it. So I'm thrilled. It's going to be awesome. Nice.

Speaker 2:

Uh, sounds like everybody's going to be in on that sucker and uh, I can't wait to watch it again. Uh, I have good memories about it. I wanted to say something about Dave though. Dave, Dave is old school and brand new school, but now he's going to be able to check out mid school, mid school calm. So those streaming platforms have had like a ton of new releases this week, including the new, I know you guys are gonna love this, the new mighty ducks game on Disney plus, uh, we got bad trip from Eric, Andre. It hits Netflix. Uh, we got the Falcon in the winter soldier. Uh, so far there's like two episodes on Disney, uh, new in common. And uh, I'm excited about seeing, I don't know, I got an order in that I'd like to see them in, but I mean, I'm, I'm excited to check them out. I mean, who doesn't have like fond memories of the mighty ducks when they were a kid? I mean, did you see that? When did you see that when you were a kid? Nick?

Speaker 4:

Oh, I saw him in the theater actually. I was there opening weekend. I loved it. Yeah. The original. Yeah. And I finally, this past month watched the, uh, part three on a Disney plus. So I found that, yeah, I never saw it part two or three. So I finally got to catch up, but I saw the original in theater. Oh man. Seat number three was the only one I saw the theater and that's the worst time. It's not that good. The first one's good though. I love the first one. Actually the number two is really great too out, honestly. Yeah, no, I agree. Yeah.

Speaker 2:

I've never seen the third one. I only saw the first too much. What do you think? The Falcon and the winter soldier? I haven't seen it yet. I mean, I do. I mean like in order of event, I mean, what are you going to watch mighty ducks first? Are you going to watch this?

Speaker 5:

You guys are just chatty chatty. Kathy's here. You guys. I don't know. I don't know, Adam. I think we're going to wrangle the headlines in for a second. Uh, so I watched the first episode of my you guys game changers. It's good. I was really happy to see Bombay emerged from the fog plot. Fine. I guess it's steam. Right? Cause the ice is so-called who was fixing the Zamboni and then it comes out like it, it just, uh, just curious all the elements from childhood, it's definitely a millennial thing. It's a millennial fix. I like the new kids. There's even a podcast joke. Let's get says, I have a podcast, not a hockey body. Right. And he's the guy that like, you know, runs the games and like talks about the stats. He'd be like a radio announcer, but he makes a podcast about the hockey team. So

Speaker 2:

I'm taking that one personally.

Speaker 5:

I'm sure Dave is going to mention bad trip later on during our staff pick section. Actually. No, but uh, wait. All right. Um, yeah. Bad trip dropped from Eric, Andre on Netflix. No spoilers. It's pretty funny. I thought there was, but the last are pretty big. The ones that are there. So if you like, like a[inaudible] type deal where the character is fake, but he's in real life situations around real people doing pranks. So check that out. If you like, if you've seen his show before then he'll dig the movie. Um, talking to the winter soldier. I think if they started with episode two, they will probably have more viewers of the show. Episode one is kind of drags on and what's the point. But episode two introduces a character for Marvel comics called John Walker, who common characters called us agent who briefly wore the mantles captain America. But he's not Steve Rogers. He's very different. So traditional captain America is like, hi, I'm talking to America, let's work together and solve this problem. John Walker is like, hi, I'm captain America. Go yourself. So that's the difference? He's the ultimate soldier. He's more of a, like if the Punisher put on the mantle of captain America, you might get like a John Walker. So it'd be interesting to see if he's going to end up fighting the Falcon and the winter soldier by the end of the season, we'll find out. But he's also played by Wyatt Russell. Who's Kurt, Russell son who looks just like him. Actually. He's full of kids between the two, you know, um, him and, uh, Kurt Russell. And what's what Goldie Hawn.

Speaker 2:

Yeah. Is he the last moral? Is he less moral than the Punisher are more moral, equally

Speaker 5:

And hinged? John Walker is a loose cannon. Like I don't know the origin of the character, but I know he goes to some dark places. So we'll see how far the show can. I mean, it's not, I mean, this is not the Jew. This is not the us agent show. So I mean, you know, he's obviously just right.

Speaker 2:

He's just an important character in the show.

Speaker 5:

You gonna see him in the flesh. So that's kinda cool. And it's played by a good actor, so nice.

Speaker 2:

What else is going on? Well, we got the trailer for the suicide squad. Um, just dropped and it revealed that Sylvester Stallone is going to ping shark, which is pretty cool. Um,

Speaker 5:

Well you got hell yeah. From Nick and a nice from Dave. So I would also like to second that hell yeah,

Speaker 4:

I liked it. I liked it.

Speaker 5:

Cassidy was secret. It looks fun movie for like two years, but they didn't tell you who was playing. So, and it's really interesting. Like King shark is strong and dangerous, but he's like an innocent little child. If you watch the preview and he's like just trying to figure out how to be a humanoid type life form. Yeah,

Speaker 4:

No, no, no. It's just going to be rated R because I saw him tear apart a body which looks pretty bloody. Right. I don't know. But Headlands. Yeah, because it was a red band trailer. 20, 20 minutes so far. I know. I'm sorry.

Speaker 2:

Do you guys remember that? Sylvester Stallone was like supposedly hanging up and no longer acting anymore. Holy. That's what,

Speaker 5:

That's my reaction to the Adam going on a tangent.

Speaker 2:

No, it's not a tangent. That was the end of the bit. And uh, it got interrupted. So it sounded like a tangent. No, no, it wasn't a tangent. It's just like, it's, it's fun to see that he's still acting after the,

Speaker 5:

We had a meeting before the show about keeping it tight.

Speaker 4:

We can go all day. We just talk. Yeah. All right. We'll be right back after these messages.

Speaker 5:

So if you're looking for special offers, we want to let you know that we are set up by sponsors to bring a good deals and also affiliates to keep the podcast rolling. Now, keep in mind the opp, the offers are subject to change right now. Stars is doing$5 a month for six months. The best offer of the year. You can to check out the new which movie, the Kraft legacy, which is a SQL to the craft that just dropped on stars much more than they got thousands of words, no programming. They got a catalog of thousands of movies. They canceled American gods. So you better go see it before it's off their platform. Did they cancel that got canceled, but it's free for right now. Go and sign up, try out the trial. Also, we've got Merck, we're supporting some resident artists. We've got some new designs in there. There's a lost boys. T-shirt that? I picked up myself. It's featured on our front page next to our logo. T-shirt with these boys, got to try out, just sent them some to brand Merck, go to our merch store, support the show. And now back to the podcast already in progress with our feature presentation. So that's movie, of course, finally, about 25 minutes into the show. Tonight's movie is a cure for wellness. It's about a strapping young lad. Who's trying to climb the corporate ladder. He falls off it. When he fails to discover what happened to his company. CEO, that's been in a wellness retreat in a faraway facility in the mountains. I think the Alps maybe. And, uh, there's a series of terrible misfortunes that jeopardize his grasp on sanity. And now it's, I go to Dave to see if he dug up some trivia or something about the filmmakers for cure, for wellness. What's up Dave?

Speaker 4:

So this was actually Gore. Verbinski his second huge bomb in a row. Well, not as big as the lone ranger, but this movie only grows like 8 million in America, uh, out and 26 worldwide on 40 million budget. So it did lose money. Um, the, the there's, you know, there's a scene involving a tooth that turned out to be, uh, kind of the actor's reaction is a bit real. We might get into that in a bit. Um, so at one point there was a crazy car crash scene and the, uh, the main actor actually popped his arm or shoulder out of socket and had to have it reset by this crazy rig that would like spin him around and around. So like this, you know, that didn't sound like a fun day on the set, but, uh, yeah. So, uh, Joanne, I'm sorry.

Speaker 5:

Yeah. That's about all the best bits I got for this one. I'm sorry.[inaudible] like, Hey Nick, I seen a trivia, but what's your favorite bit from? That was amazing.

Speaker 1:

My favorite bit was actually the main actor. Um, he was in everything at this time and I love, I love that. I love his performance and I love, uh, GERD, Vince ski or whatever, but I wasn't blown away by this movie. I'm not going to lie. I was kind of like, whatever. Yeah. When did you guys like it?

Speaker 4:

Did you have like kids crawling all over you or something or?

Speaker 1:

I might've been a few times. Yeah, but I wasn't. I was not, I don't know why I wasn't feeling this movie. I don't, I don't know. Do you get, did you guys like it?

Speaker 4:

Well, my theory is I liked it quite a

Speaker 1:

Bit. Oh, maybe I'm starting off bad. I'm sorry.

Speaker 5:

Cause you didn't see, we're all talking at once. Person. It will get to their favorite bit.

Speaker 1:

[inaudible] was the main performers acting[inaudible]

Speaker 5:

You? You told us that. Oh, I gotta draw a roadmap.

Speaker 1:

Yeah.

Speaker 4:

Scene Nick scene.

Speaker 5:

[inaudible] yeah, I already, I already said it. Yeah.

Speaker 4:

Um, so there, there are two, uh, two things. I'll try to be brief. Uh, the one, um, we alluded to it is a drill a, well Phil's a drill bit. So we can say that. Um, so there is a tooth scene in this movie that will never leave me. Um, I, I don't like the dentist to begin with this. Doesn't make it any better. Um, you, so there is, yeah, that, um, there's also

Speaker 5:

Happens. They drilled through his front tooth. Oh God. Yeah. Sorry. Yeah.

Speaker 4:

They drove through the front tooth. I see them being, having trauma, thinking about it. Uh, there's also the scene involving, uh, the mouthpiece and the ILS going into him. Um, Oh my God. Like that freaks me the out the fudge out just because who wants to swallow a bunch of ILS? Um, it doesn't sound like a fun day. I don't know. What do you think, Adam? What are your favorite bits? Well, what I think is just trying to move it along.

Speaker 2:

Well, once you say it, you can't un-see it. That's what I think. Okay. So when he's like being put into that iron long looking thing and they put that apparatus in his mouth and the guy's like shoving that tube down. Oh my gosh. For me, that was a, a more impactful scene than the dentist thing. Because when I saw the dentist thing, I was like, Oh, okay, well, he'll get a new one because you sell the old people at the fake veneers or whatever. But, uh, yeah. That him being strapped down and putting that iron lung thing tube in the throat and then the unleashing of what they put inside the bodies. Ooh, Ooh, that's pretty amazing. And I love the whole crescendo of the film too. How it, how it builds to, uh, from normalcy and into descent, into an ancient madness. And you know, that was fantastic. John, what do you think? Do we take your favorite bits?

Speaker 5:

No. No, you didn't step on. It looks, it sounds like you and Dave had a similar favorite bit, but I do remember Dave having more trivia than he delivered. He sent me a list before I had like three, four.

Speaker 4:

Well, you also said we could cut things. So I cut the most boring pieces.

Speaker 5:

Oh, so you agree maybe with Nick's opinion, it wasn't the strongest movie, but, um, I covered that. The spoiler alert folks. I like when you discover that the Barron's still alive in his little hero that he discovered has kept him nearly a mortal, you know, for what a century or something. It was kind of cool. Reminded me of like, I dunno like a Phantom of the opera type, you know, they're in a castle, he's like disfigured, he's got this evil plot that he's working on. You know, he's out of his mind there at the end, right? I mean, he straps his own daughter into a bed and he's gonna do horrible, terrible things. So we're just kind of funny to say my favorite bit is the most horrible, terrible thing in the movie. The reveal of the Baron, I guess, is my favorite part.

Speaker 4:

You talking to the face, you've earned your title.

Speaker 5:

I've earned my title.

Speaker 2:

Yeah. Johnny spoiler, baby. There's a spoiler, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah. And then it came right out,

Speaker 5:

Hey man, this movie's been out for like five.

Speaker 4:

Yeah. Like nobody saw it.

Speaker 5:

Next point. Nobody, nobody cares.

Speaker 4:

This was like a huge release at like, nobody went out to you. Like that's yeah.

Speaker 5:

What'd you say? Dave said, Dave said in his private trivia notes that it was a flop. Yeah,

Speaker 4:

Yeah. Yeah. Well, I kinda met, yeah.

Speaker 5:

We could redeem ourselves by finding out like what our fans are up to Dave, what's going on with the fans.

Speaker 4:

All right. So sometime back we did, um, our feel good pics. Uh, and we got an email from a fan about how, uh, they feel good, uh, how they enjoyed the show and what have you. But we forgot to mention what they chose as their feel-good pick, which was Pacific Ram. So, um, that's that makes him feel good. So more things, more things and shows that make us feel good or movies. Adam man,

Speaker 1:

Killing me

Speaker 5:

First. What we thought about Pacific rim, but that's fine.

Speaker 4:

Oh, well what do you guys, well, I didn't have a niche. Sorry. Everybody think of Pacific. Does it make you feel good?

Speaker 1:

I've never seen the movie. So I don't know. Yeah.

Speaker 4:

Well I guess I would go next in order. I thought it was just okay. I thought Adam, I liked it. John never seen it.

Speaker 5:

The whole country is getting ready for Congress has Godzilla or whatever. Godzilla versus comm. Plus we were talking about King Kong, 76 Japanese style monster movie with KGU, which is what Godzilla is. These alien monsters come out of the ocean, whatever interdimensional beings. They fight these giant robots. It's great.

Speaker 4:

I thought it was fun. It is calm count is hygiene. What does con count is kg? No. According to the new Kong gods silvers, I guess. I mean it get tightened. Yeah.

Speaker 5:

Okay. Um, anyway, what Nick? No, not Nick. Sorry. I'm trying to say staff pick and it came out as the word Nick, cause he's always shown those look to Nick to save everybody, but okay. So, um, what Dave was trying to do was get Adam to talk about staff picks, which is, um, well, what is it? What are the staff picks out?

Speaker 4:

Staff picks or just movies that we recommend our audience. If you need something to watch this week and we recommend Nick, what do you got

Speaker 1:

Smiler since moving at Gerard Butler. I know I was going to go there, but I do know actually I watched the Wolf of snow hollow and John had recommended this movie like two months ago and I'm not going to lie. This was my favorite movie of the year. And so good and is so freaking good. Like I, I literally, I cried. I laughed. I was in love. Um, it's it has every beat just works. Like, you know how like you sometimes watch movies like that beat work that'd be work. Like whoever, I don't even know who the hell directed this, but everything about this movie is perfect. So would I recommend this movie? The Wolf of snow hollow? Hell yeah. Watch this movie I'm in love and I don't want to ruin anything for you. I just go watch this crazy little movie. It's so good. My favorite movie of the year.

Speaker 5:

Nice. So it's a little movie.

Speaker 1:

I mean, it actually is a little movie. Yeah. I mean it's a small, independent movie. Yeah.

Speaker 5:

Content. I mean, what does little means? Yeah.

Speaker 1:

I mean, I, in terms of, yeah, like in terms of like story and plot. Oh it's, it's huge. Yeah.

Speaker 5:

How am I found your nickname? Replacement? Awkward, Adam, instead of AA, instead of atomic, Adam, you got it. It got silent. And then he's like a little movie, everything Nick just said[inaudible]

Speaker 4:

No more like filling in the awkward spaces, Adam, but Dave, what do you got? Okay. All right. Uh, Oh, and Nick, just to say who directed that movie? It was actually the main actor Jim Cummings, just so you know.

Speaker 1:

Oh, it was, Oh my God. And by the way that guy I'm in love with him, his performance was incredible, but one of the best performance like that guy,

Speaker 5:

He's one of those writer, accurate director producers, you know,

Speaker 4:

He does it on Amazon and watches.

Speaker 1:

Oh, I I'm. I'm going to look it up now.

Speaker 4:

No, go on Amazon and watch thunder road. It's really great. I will. Yeah, but that's not my pick this week. Um, I won't jump. I'm actually gonna, I'm just going to go real quick. Over a couple of I've actually been doing some genuine bingeing the last couple of weeks and a couple of TV shows. So, um, one's a very basic answer, but I finally got around to watching the Sopranos for the first time and I am sucked in right now. I have never watched a single episode and now I've watched like a season and a half

Speaker 5:

And like,

Speaker 4:

No, I should though. It makes me really want it. So, um, I mean, you know, it's about a mob guy who, um, Tony soprano who has therapy and then it's just, it's like a very, I mean, I can't go into a long series, but like, it's just a, a mobster dealing with his, uh, you know, ins and outs of family and mob life and this and that. It's really like, everybody's seen it except for me. So lots of Soprano's if you have it, um, I'm also watching

Speaker 1:

Season it's it's good. Yeah.

Speaker 4:

Yeah. Um, and if you want a good laugh, I've been watching, uh, check it out with Steve Brule, which is a character John C. Riley does where he's, uh, he says he's a doctor, but he does like a public access show on topics like boats and things. And it just, it's just killing me every time I watch it. He'll mispronounce things and like, just screw with people. Just, I don't know if you want something really funny and quick. They're only like 10 minute episodes. Uh, check it out with Steve Brule. So check that out. Uh, what have you been watching Adam?

Speaker 2:

Wow. Make me want to watch the Sopranos again. I watched, um, Paul Thomas Anderson's first film hard eight, which is absolutely fantastic. Oh my gosh. Where's this movie been my whole life. I really, I actually like it better than some of the, some of the later work. It's so solid. It's so well-rounded, it tells the complete story. The cinematography is beautiful, but it's brilliant, but it's simplified. It's got one of the most amazing casts and uh, and a first offering from a director. You could even, you could even dream of, I mean, John C. Riley is like, he's super young in this movie too. It's like so fun. Uh, Gwyneth Paltrow's in it, Samuel Jackson's in it. Um, uh, Phillip Seymour Hoffman's in it and, uh, I, I would definitely solid recommend, should I describe what's going on? Uh, no, because you just got to watch this movie. It's Paul Thomas Anderson. And if you seen any of his films in your fan, then you're going to love this movie.

Speaker 4:

I, yeah, I, I love that movie the first time I saw it, actually. I mean, you talk about one of the best feature, like first features from a director, like even some of my favorite directors have had first movies and this one is like right out of the park. I've never seen them and I totally check it out.

Speaker 2:

Well, it kind of starts out with John C. Riley being adopted by an older man, uh, when he's in a hard spot and the guy takes him under his wing and shows him how to get out of his bad situation. And the movie just evolves from there. And it's, it's something special to behold. Have you, have you seen that John gambling is a little bit of gambling in it? Yeah.

Speaker 5:

Yeah. It's uh, an old gambler. It takes a new gambler under his wing. Chosen the ropes.

Speaker 2:

Yeah. Yeah. What do you got for us, John?

Speaker 5:

I actually got around to see this a science fiction crime movie called hotel Artemis, where there's a secret hotel for criminals that are in a bind. Like if they're wounded, this nurse played by, um, what's her name? Jodie foster takes care of these criminals. And there's like a, you know, critical cameo by Jeff Goldbloom. It's got a David Patista as the male nurse who is also the heavyweight. Right. Who keeps the criminals in line while they're in the hospital. It's kind of in the future. It's like when LA is fighting again about water rights, but like the whole city's like crumbling, it's like in 20, 35 or something. So it's not too far away, but whatever. Um, it actually was pretty entertaining. Uh, it's very melodramatic, but it was fun. It was fun. I avoided it for a while, but I actually enjoyed it. So, and what episode or opposites, which just came out this week as well, which is a cartoon kind of already on Hulu.

Speaker 4:

Okay. It's so good show up. Except this are like I, yeah, I'm six episodes into this new season. Like I'm almost dreading being done with it because it's so good. Um, five. It is good. So we got, so that's what I, going on, Nick. I was going to say, we got some stuff going on. What is it, Nick? That's what I was gonna say. So I want to know what are the movie choices? Is it this or that? John?

Speaker 5:

Oh, wow. My favorite part of the show, because these guys clearly, this whole episode is man behind the curtain. Like they could see that there's a mechanism that keeps that we practice and like have things to talk about. Like maybe we take notes, but it's kind of fallen off the tracks this time. So as I say, the ink is definitely running on the page right now, but okay. I got some great choices for this or that or about to do, to make Dave really happy if we're going to do two weeks of anime movies. Right. So, but I got the square package today. I got a German Blu-ray of the real Ghostbusters cartoon. And then I found out it came from Dave. So I'm wondering, did he bribe me to keep enemy off the shirt? So, so I'm really perplexed, but it's not going to work, Dave. You know why? Because we're going to watch enemy anyway. So it's like, here's our, this or that for this week. Okay. We can watch either. And there's three choices this time. You guys get really get to write this down. Oh yeah, here we go. We can watch princess. Monache sort of the stranger or legend of the overfeed again, legend over the overfeed, sort of the stranger or princess mode. Okay. Choose wisely. Gentlemen. Let's keep our Nick, Dave, Adam, John order. Let's vote.

Speaker 4:

I'm going to say princess[inaudible] cause I'm on a Nike. I'm going to say that. Cause I've heard about this mood for years and I've never seen it. So I'm going to

Speaker 5:

Dave. Yeah.

Speaker 4:

I'm going to go with yeah. Princess Mon money. Nucleus. No amount of Nokia. I know, I know. I was just being a Dick, uh, to Nick. Uh, that right. I'm going to go with princess is what I recommend

Speaker 5:

Too bad if there's no way to influence the segment.

Speaker 4:

Yeah. I'm going to be a Dick to Nick as well. Uh, princess mononucleo Leo ki uh, no, I'm just joking. No, I'm actually picking sort of, uh, sort of the stranger. Is that what it is? Um, you know, I'm picking stuff I haven't seen, but princess Mononoke is a fantastic film.

Speaker 5:

Yeah. I really thought you guys would go with this NC 17 wild thing called legend of the overfeed. Oh, but

Speaker 2:

You didn't tell us it was NC 17.

Speaker 5:

That's the beauty of this segment is it's on title alone. So if they, if they named a, a movie that's not an attractive title, what can you do about it? But it's legend of the overfeed sounds like overdrive or like maximum overdrive or like, it sounds like a much deadlier title than motor Oki.

Speaker 2:

Is it too late to change my vote?

Speaker 5:

Yeah. You voted for the princess because I voted for overfeeding of the stranger, which is actually a good movie. It's it's similar to Prentice Minogue though. So, uh, so, well, I guess the overwhelming votes are for princess Monache cause there's two for that one for each other one. So, um, let know if the overfeeding is credited for starting the tentacle porn craze, it's actually the movie that originated a monster attacking somebody with tentacles. So that's it's famous for Oh, hell yeah. So anyway,

Speaker 2:

Can I say something to Roger? Roger Ebert said princess mana. Nokia was the star Wars of the animation genre. So

Speaker 5:

Ooh, hard disagree with that one, man. I don't line it up with star Wars.

Speaker 2:

Yeah. Don't don't speak ill of the dead

Speaker 5:

Star Wars. That prints a small gnocchi in my opinion.

Speaker 2:

Hmm. Okay. Well that's what he said is the star Wars of that genre. He's not comparing it to star Wars.

Speaker 5:

All right. We'll find out,

Speaker 2:

But this happening next week. So does that mean

Speaker 5:

Star Wars is the enemy of SIFA? Uh, well, no. The last star fighter is the enemy of Saifai. What, what it was, what is happening right now? Dave asked a question and we answered it.

Speaker 2:

No, you have to say that, uh, star Wars is the princess Monon. Okay. Of the sacrifice genre.

Speaker 5:

Oh, you're right. I did say that wrong. Yeah.

Speaker 2:

And then it got real confusing. Cause people just saying weird stuff. Right. He understood what I meant,

Speaker 5:

But you know what we got next week guys. We've got Josh rolling shirtless. No, no, no, no. We're not there yet. Why not? Yet? Next week, next week we're having princess Monache we also want to tell you about a cleanser.[inaudible] quiet. I muted everybody, including myself. Okay. Anyway. Thanks for listening to binge-watch. We highly recommend that you go listen to our classic episode with Josh Brolin. Is it shirtless? Yes. Is he a downhill danger? Yes. Is he and on skateboards? Yeah. We're talking about thrashing. So grab the link to a classic episode in sporting hits in the show notes. And then now Nick, if you want to do your glorious ending to this episode, I don't know even what to call this. Tell me what the title of this episode is. And then in the show,

Speaker 1:

This, this, uh, the, I guess the title was crazy times with the guys. I don't know.

Speaker 5:

I said name it. So I guess I got to write that down crazy, crazy time with the guy, with the guys, but stuck out, rewards it all in there. I don't see any boys with the boys. Well, boys is the last episode of March madness. So it's kind of the last episode of the binge. Watch a show. Yeah.

Speaker 1:

So this stuff got really real guys and everything went off the rails, but you know what? At the end of the day, you still love us and we love you. And that's why you listen to us. So stuff got real guys, and this is nicotine saying binge watch.

Speaker 5:

Okay. I tolerate them. Love is a very strong word.

Speaker 2:

I have another classic episode of the binge Watchers podcast.

Speaker 1:

I read it wrong. You said next week. And I said, my name and I was reading the thing. I'm just saying,

Speaker 2:

You mean, we can see Josh Brolin shirt,

Speaker 5:

My thinkers I've noticed that I can't let you guys direct segments anymore. I got to keep,

Speaker 1:

I literally had no, but that's what your note said. It said, Nick,

Speaker 5:

What if then if we're talking about a classic episode, clearly it's not what's happening next week. We're just referencing the class again.

Speaker 1:

You just said next week. And they said,

Speaker 5:

Yeah, the meeting. I said, if you want to call it coming attractions or few things, I'm trying to suggest things that you should talk about. Like, I'd like you to say like, Hey, by the way, we had this great episode in the past should check it out. But then we're also now covering this movie, which tonight we decided, Oh, it's princess motor Nokia. So tune in next week for princess Mononoke. But by the way, listen to this thing. But I'm kind of finding that, ah, I don't know. I got to rethink the, these notes scenarios.

Speaker 2:

The problem isn't that we have notes. The problem is the notes that we have, uh, you know, have the little things that are hard for us to understand in them.

Speaker 5:

Well, that's why I had a 25 minute meeting before the show to, and I said, do you guys have any questions?

Speaker 2:

And uh, Nick was right at the end of all of that too. Right.

Speaker 1:

I missed it at the very end. I was like,

Speaker 5:

I love, uh, I love Adam also criticize. Have we had Adam write the notes at all? Do we ever have you write the notes?

Speaker 2:

I dunno. Yeah. Uh, once a long time ago I be writing for the next six

Speaker 5:

Weeks. Next six weeks. If I was told, I had to write six weeks, I would be like, does that mean higher commission? That's where I would go with that. You gotta be a salesman

Speaker 2:

And gone with that. I just had to overreact first. Okay. Don't steal my joy, John that's

Speaker 4:

We, we had, there was a weird energy. I mean, I know, I screwed up and talked over people and we literally said, Hey, let's wait for people's turns. So Hey, happens like the next

Speaker 5:

Something burst your bubble early days because you had, I know you had like three or four facts and then you're just like, here's the one. And uh, what's next? What are you talking about? It's like, it's, it's like you said two things like two sentences, like help me, John

Speaker 4:

Facts. And then, you know, and this, and yes, this is my fault because,

Speaker 5:

And that we're going to restructure guys. Adam's off headlines. I know that. That's your off headline.

Speaker 4:

Nailed that. That was my fault. I was having a difficulty toggling back between my notes and the script. I'm like an, Oh wait, who am I tossing it to.

Speaker 5:

So, Oh, by the way. So this is all, this is all bonus content right now.

Speaker 2:

What did I say? I nailed the headlines except for the middle one, which I had to jump around on. Um, because of the pre-talk, which we talked about, the mighty ducks, we talked about Falcon and the winter soldier, but I was not there for any tacos, bad trip. So I didn't know what it was. So it was hard to figure out how to say, so what I should have done was I should, I saw three things and uh, she said, well, are you going to watch these things? And what order are you going to watch them? Or something like that. And then now,

Speaker 5:

Or you could have just let us comment on whichever one stood out to us and then leave it at that.

Speaker 2:

Right. Well, that's what ended up becoming when you interrupted. So, but I don't necessarily think that I,

Speaker 5:

You also gave away your hand that you didn't go and look up the titles before the show in the headlines, because you're like, what's bad trip. Well, did you Google it?

Speaker 2:

No, no, it's no good because if I ask you and I don't know, then you're really telling me, and if you're really telling me, then it's fresh and if it's fresh, then the audience is going to be enjoying it as well. So that's on purpose. It's kind of like all that cool stuff that you said before the show started. You couldn't repeat any of that stuff in the same way with the same passion. And then when you read described, uh, what's that character? Uh,

Speaker 5:

No, I feel like Adam's upset. So now he's going to be like, John, you did better during the rehearsal that you get on the actual show. No, no, no, no.

Speaker 2:

I'm just saying like, there was more information you were more passionate about sharing it and then each further iteration, you're just going to have a natural human disinterest in sharing the information that you've already shared. You know what I mean?
