Speaker 1:

It's the binge-watch[inaudible]

Speaker 2:

Boom. We're here. Welcome to binge Watchers. Yeah. Now last time, a big Watchers we talked about alien nation was a great episode and Nick came up with like a pretty good tagline. It's like breaking bad with aliens. Like that's the way you pitch a remake. I think with the Fox acquisition at Disney, who knows if we're going to get the new alienation that they've been working on for a couple of years, but you know, there's still hope for the fandom. Maybe if you want, you can dig up the old TV show on YouTube. They got the full episodes now, but, uh, uh, what are we talking about tonight, Nick? So back in the day, it was 1986 and they released a chilling camp comedy, a B movie frites called neither of the creeps. Emma said fright night, don't worry. I caught myself drop some video headlines, reveal our first impressions of the movie, a Frederick Fred jerker, Decker's classic discuss our favorite bits, play another deadly round of what should I watch and read another fan movie list, comment like and share long guys, come on. We're live. Let's do this. So as far as rounding up the home video headlines, Deadpool three is entering the Marvel cinematic universe. Officially. You gotta think about a Deadpool three movie happening. Dave, we think about Deadpool three, um, as long as it's good as the first two, um, there, you know what they'd gotten better with? I liked number two better. So if number three keeps continuing along, it's going to be way better than the first two. I actually haven't seen part two. So the whole thing is the concept is it's in the actual Marvel universe, right? It's not, it's not in a sub separate universe anymore. That's that's the thing. Right? So, so be finally folded into the proper MCU instead of the Fox Fox or whatever. There's like these articles go on Fox box. Yeah. They there's other infinity stones out there like continuity stone. It's in the comic books. That's what allows Deadpool to break the fourth wall because his stone allows him to go into our universe and like talk to the people that draw the comics and all that stuff. So it'd be kind of cool, man, if they, if they went with something like that and they use the continuity stone to bring them into the, the cinematic universe, but who knows, who knows how to ride them in. Um, he should definitely out with Spiderman. That's a big thing too, is they're always tagging along in the, in the comic books. They do have a risk, a romance at one point, but that's the alternative Marvel comic. Right? I heard about that. Yeah.

Speaker 3:

Peter Parker was always funny, but not an assassin.

Speaker 2:

Yeah.

Speaker 3:

In the comics is, was, was like the funny guy, like the identifiable guy, Peter Parker would crack jokes and then dental comes along and it's like,

Speaker 2:

They fight taskmaster, which is, that's going to be the villain in the new, uh, widow black widow movie. But in the, in the offshoot, like Spider-Man is not assassinating anybody. As far as I know the books that I'm familiar with, if he's there, like,

Speaker 3:

No, no, no. I'm saying like Spiderman and dead pole are very similar character in terms of what, where they fit in with identifiability. The difference being they're both funny and make wisecracks, but, but Deadpool is like way raunchier. He's like, he's like the comedian where you're actually like belting out. Laughs. And Spiderman is kind of like the good guy, Peter, Parker's a good kid, you

Speaker 4:

Know? And the random laughs.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, well they're, they're both like hammy, right? They both make a lot of jokes and they they're cracking little individuals. But uh, yeah, I guess the team of is like, why would you have two wives progress on the same team? Right? Cause if you go to the ultimate, ultimately the classic comedy duo is one straight man. One lunatic, right?

Speaker 3:

Yeah. I think it's going to be that. Oh yeah. Uh, maybe, maybe they can make it work. But I imagine that they're going to make Peter Parker and law and they're going to make dead Paul and put them on a pedestal and making the funny one, it to make Peter Parker, the straight man. That's what I think

Speaker 4:

It is Deadpool going to be in a Spiderman three because it seems like everyone else's

Speaker 2:

Oh, the entire Marvel universe movie now

Speaker 4:

Every day, it's like, Oh, they got the deer devil now on this,

Speaker 2:

Mostly melons and appearances by this spider verse. Right? It's like the reverse of all the Spiderman.

Speaker 4:

And I have not seen the spider burst, uh, the new one, you know, the animated one. So I'm actually, if you have not seen that, you're kind of lost going. Like I have no idea what's going to happen so

Speaker 3:

Well, as soon as Disney buys all the DC universe from Warner, but I would just buy Warner brothers and mix them all.

Speaker 2:

I don't know Warner brothers has. They have some steep, steep competition though because Warner brothers, they have a great catalog and they were pushing the HBO max pretty hard. And they're doing all right. So I don't know. But um, I'm going to switch gears to the concept of an American doctor. Who are you guys fan of the BBC show? Doctor who I've never watched. It. Never seen. That's like, all right, well doctor, who do you guys know what it is? I mean, doctor who is actually I watched Apple one episode. Okay. So maybe it's total nerd culture. Maybe I'm alone of this.

Speaker 3:

No, I liked Dr. His, so I'm winning. We talked to who

Speaker 2:

He basically, uh, um, fights these things called the time Lords. I don't remember the mythology if, if the doctor who is a time Lord himself or a rebel, but basically like you've seen the Tardis. Right. Which is like a police phone booth shaped. Yeah. I'm like, what the hell is this thing? That's basically, it he's a time jumping space, creature who like keeps getting reincarnated, but there were only supposed to be like 12 or 13 incarnations there. They're finding a way to break that rule now. But because I've made so many series of doctor who, but they were putting it out there, like what if the next incarnation was, uh, an American doctor who I actually, it's funny idea, because then you could make fun of all the crazy that's happening in America from a British perspective, right. From a BBC perspective. But so you're still going to have a British accent. I don't know. It shouldn't be doctor who, I mean maybe, maybe just like, could be like a sidekick character, then it's also a time. Or should it be doctor? What? Doctor, doctor, doctor, doctor, what? I want to write that down. I still fly so far. This news is made for me, I guess. Cause I mean I did. Okay. Okay. Nick, Nick, Nick, the volume is finally getting boosted to HD and put out on a blue radio thing

Speaker 4:

Because I bought that DVD in 19 or like in 1999. So it's like, it's about time. Look at, look at this guy. If you're listening to the podcast right now, uh, dangerous Dave's has pulled up.

Speaker 2:

Yeah.

Speaker 4:

At the right time, you know,

Speaker 2:

I'm not doing the pre show it, but I guess he wants to do it. All right. Um, so that's coming out there finally rented the movie in HD and they're going to put that out.

Speaker 4:

I would actually, is it 4k or Blu-ray where I'm assuming.

Speaker 2:

Yeah. I guess it took a long time for them to figure that out. How to get that

Speaker 4:

An HD blue rain is a good thing for me. That's what I mean,

Speaker 2:

You set me up for that. I'm sorry. Thank you. Yeah. Uh, did you guys see this, this, this exchange of like dirty text messages and they're taking it away out of context and saying like our army hammer must really be a sex fiend and blah, blah, blah, blah, blah. He wants the church to remain and kill like this whole idea of like thought crimes. I'm so confused. Same concept. Like, okay, wait, you can now get penalized for thinking something like the mind is a labyrinth of twisted thoughts anyway, you know, it's like, you killed a, for an imagination, like go to jail. But I guess he has ex-girlfriends that like said things like, Oh yeah. He used to tell me things like, I want to cut off your toe and just keep it in my pocket or stuff like that. So, Oh yeah. I saw that. Hey, Tabitha willingly gave that toe up David. Okay. And everything. Now I don't know. Say is, if you want to tell, I'll get you a tow by 2:00 PM. Oh yeah. That's a good question. Who's asking you. Right. I can get to actually, that's a good point because

Speaker 4:

Adam has a good point. Who is normally hammer, because if you don't know, like the lone ranger, he was kind of set up to be this big star and then when kind of independent, right? I mean, he was the guy from the twins from social media, I guess

Speaker 2:

After baking soda, he did not, he didn't intend to go independent, you know?

Speaker 4:

Oh. He was supposed to be like with lone ranger, it was going to be like, Oh, he's his trajectory was supposed to be this way. And then he went kind of there. Yeah.

Speaker 2:

He's better for it. Cause I mean, he's, he's a better actually. I actually like him as an actor when he goes into the more small stuff, Clover sale wants to go for all drunk. How do you want me to answer this question? I don't have regular.

Speaker 4:

I'm just beginning. Yes. Everyone got quiet.

Speaker 2:

I'm trying to respond or respond to comments.

Speaker 4:

I have, I have a drink

Speaker 2:

In hand, but they want another, uh, what are you guys' thoughts on another X-Men movie? Sure. I will. I actually, those are my favorite of the superhero movies of the X-Men movies. Yeah. Um, I'd say X to probably X-Men too. Um, but I, I even like the crappy X-Men movies, like I, I think people are always hard on those. Like I actually liked, um, the, you know, apocalypse and uh, you know, Mr. Sinister. I think if they bring, if they do another movie and you pull the introduce a Mr. Sinister, I finally just get gambit. I want gambit in a movie. Yeah. He's got to make gumbo for everyone. Look, we're pushing it for the headline section. So let's uh, get your favorite. I just want to say my favorite

Speaker 4:

X-Men movie was the one with Kevin bacon.

Speaker 2:

Oh, 80% of the term. He absorbed materials and interview or something. Yeah, that was a good one. So port, well the movie version, he's the one that engineered the helmet that Benito litter has. Um, so okay. Before we move on quickly, there was an announcement on Twitter by John Fesko, the director of, uh, guns and young guns too. People are wondering, is this just a rumor? It feels great. It's a rumor, but it's even better as a

Speaker 4:

Thumb. So what did you

Speaker 2:

Share with us in Facebook messenger the other day about this? A young gun,

Speaker 4:

But he showed this tweet that supposedly they're writing young guns three right now with immediately WestMed Christian Slater, Lou diamond Phillips. And I'm like, well, shoot. Didn't they die in the last one, but I don't know.

Speaker 2:

No, it's

Speaker 4:

Actually, it's seven up in buckets. So cheers. Thank you. Cover sale. So then it'll be called bold guns. Are they going to pass it on to the next generation of call a set of guns? I have no idea how they're going to do this, but I'm excited to see it. I don't care because I know Arkansas Dave was supposed to be drinking or not drinking. It's supposed to be dead in the last one. You know? So I don't know.

Speaker 2:

Well, I mean the whole thing is they're legends, right? So what if the legend, the story changes over time? Or is it a different story? You know, who knows? All right. So let's Emilio. ASVAB is walking through the desert, the whole movie shooting people. Okay. That would be cool. He got shopped around when it came out with like a weak tagline and on all the streaming sites like Amazon prime, voodoo, they have a really weak tagline. This is the tagline fraternity pledges played by Jason lively and Steve Marshall, who prank with a frozen body and let slug like creatures loose on the campus. If I read that tagline and not watch the trailer, I would not have watched the movie that's weak, weak, weak, weak, weak. It doesn't really get you to the heart, the heart of the movie. Maybe like not only is it weak, it's not

Speaker 4:

True. Yeah. Yeah. Wow.

Speaker 2:

Well, they, I don't know. I mean, they're pledging, so they're supposed to, they're supposed to you're right. It's a spoiler. Amazon. It's not making any money, man. He's like, Hey Steve, write, write two sentences about what this movie is. We can rent it. The people, Hey Nick, what are your first impressions of a night of the creeks?

Speaker 4:

My first impressions is I saw this 20 years ago. Loved it. And I love it. Oh dude, Dave, uh, audience, Dave has joined his knife, the creeps a DVD, or Blu-ray now this guy,

Speaker 2:

This guy, but I, I love it.

Speaker 4:

My first impression is, is, um, thrill me. Um, I love that and I loved Tom Atkins and I didn't realize how much I loved him even now. Like I, I just, I just fell in love with him in this movie again and again, like, I think he's the best part of this movie. I'm sorry. Who are you falling in love with Tom Atkins? Did you like married? No, I know, but I can fall in love with him too. Yeah. He like

Speaker 2:

Longs for Thomas.

Speaker 4:

I do actually Halloween three, you know, we weren't good creep show.

Speaker 2:

Yeah. Wow. Uh, what's your first impression? Um, I actually saw this for the first time with you, John. We renewed this from that. Um, I think we rented it from cinephile. Um, LA video, starting desire. Maybe we did. I don't know. It was one of those two places, but I know we ran it. I don't remember the owner's name, but he always had like an attitude, but he just burned burden. He is like, the owner of the Australian desire was like a failed actor or soap, opera star or something, you know? And then he was like, I'm going to open a video store and I'm going to burn every customer that comes here. If they were turn a video late a guitar guy, then what? Your first impression? Oh, so we, we watched it on like the VHS. So, um, I don't know. I love this movie instantly. Um, like all the in jokes of everybody having a horror directors, last name, like there's carpenter Romero, I think.

Speaker 4:

Yeah. Yeah.

Speaker 2:

Um, it's definitely a horror movie for people who love horror movies. It's definitely an inside, um, baseball kind of a movie. Yes, I do. Literally have every generally

Speaker 4:

I even have a podcast. He literally has every movie, even stuff like this. Like what is that? I don't even know. Oh my God.

Speaker 2:

It's called the black devil doll from hell. Actually look this up. This is like worth 300 bucks. Now

Speaker 4:

I paid 24,

Speaker 2:

Just eat shows off his DVDs. So we got to retitle this movie first impression, I guess this is a movie. This is a movie for movie fans. Is that what you're saying? Yeah. For ed. Definitely like it's I think it's good for anybody, but if you're a horror movie fan, like you get a little extra out of it. All right. Moving on to AA. What's your first impression of night of the creeks? I feel like they've gone beyond first impressions. What do you saw the movie trailer? What, how, what was your reaction?

Speaker 4:

We went way beyond,[inaudible]

Speaker 2:

Talk about every aspect of this fever pitch. Save, save the chunky stuff from favorite bits. I'm not saying my favorite bit. Alright, smoothies. Fantastic. That's watching one word and it fits into like this special place I'm gonna talk about later in cinema history. Okay. I dunno. Is it micro John yours? All right. Cool. I wrote incredible and great banter. Um, the dialogue would be like, Hey, good news, girls. Your dates are here. Bad news. They're all dead. And that's in the trailer. So that is the first impression. Cause the trailer, you see that in the trailer. You'll watch the movie, read the tagline. Won't see the movie, hear the, watched the trailer. See that moment. You're going to watch the movie. I mean, that's my theory. Um, now I'm going to go to some messages. We'll be right back. Now we're going back to the show

Speaker 4:

Because DVD has been a ton of shutter. That's amazing. Shutter shutters. Amazing. Yeah, it's so good. I just watched the shutter original today. Oh really? Which one? Hunted. Oh, wow. I saw that one, but I didn't watch it yet, but

Speaker 2:

Now we're going to get back to the episode at hand folks in progress. What have you, we're going to go to our favorite bits of night of the creeps. We're gonna start with Nikki lakes.

Speaker 4:

My favorite bit is with of course Tom Atkins and it deals with his past and then his past coming back and haunting him. I love the fact that these little slug things can bring something back from years and then he still got a Hawk. Get this guy from the past, you know? Yeah.

Speaker 2:

So you like the, uh, the, the door?

Speaker 4:

Yeah, the dead ax murdering psychopath. I thought that was a great bit

Speaker 2:

Dangerous. Dave, let's hear your dangerous favorite bits. Um, my favorite bit is actually a shot as probably the most famous shot in the movie, but the three 60 ham, just Like I, I, I, the first time I saw that, just I, that stuck out to me.

Speaker 4:

I was watching the last night and I laughed my off and it still holds up. It's so good. It works

Speaker 2:

Everything. Dave, I was reading comments back up your favorite bit real quick. Just recap it. Oh, um, the three 60 shot, uh, Tom Atkins, just, uh, shooting zombies and the camera following him in a three 60 shot. All right. Cool.

Speaker 3:

Oh, the background was spinning with him were so good that I, that was me.

Speaker 2:

Is that also your favorite big metal?

Speaker 3:

It's just a good, it's a good bit of the cinematography, but I liked it when the girl went to go get Gordon, the cat and he didn't look so well.

Speaker 4:

No,

Speaker 2:

You not feeling well, looking for a cat and she lets it back in and they set it up because they set up that sequence where she let it in through the back door right in and talk to her cat.

Speaker 3:

That's acting up and then they, they go back to it. It's almost a callback. Yeah. But that's not my favorite bit. That was just a good bit. My favorite bit was when his friend leaves the tape forum and it's like, please listen. And he's listening to the tape of the friend describe being infected and it's, it was fonting man. There's all this like bright cheery stuff that happens in like an eighties horror movie. It's well lit. Uh, they're not hiding a lot from you. The shock value is built into the actions of characters, but everyone seems to be like, good. Like even the bad guys aren't that bad. And then, but that scene like grounded the whole thing and made it like, Oh, hit you in the stomach. So yeah. And listen to the tape of his friend and then going down to find his friend Dan, if he was okay.

Speaker 4:

That's cool. Haunting. I agree. Yeah.

Speaker 3:

So I like that. That's what I like, John, what do you like?

Speaker 2:

I actually don't like the fact that they killed the best friend. I felt like they could have kept him in the movie. They didn't have to do a throwaway kill with him. I mean, it's cool that they wrote in the special, you know, tape that he left for his buddy. But, um, the fact that he dies off screen, like makes it sacrifice, not really a memorable sacrifice. You know what I mean? Like it means like a throw away. It's like, Oh man, it's the best friend. It's the only other main character in the movie besides the detective and the, and the girl, I guess she, I guess she would be the lead.

Speaker 3:

I would've much rather have seen him going through his last moments, trying to beat the Creek,

Speaker 2:

He and his videotape or not videotape, but in his little thing, he says, I think I have one inside me that I'm dealing with. But then like the shot, his, his death shot is like, there's like four or five melted slugs. Right. So like he may have had an Epic last, last day. And there's a thing where he burned himself. Like he grabbed the furnace and hugged it, you know, they burn away those fives

Speaker 3:

Number, the first slug, and then more enter because they're[inaudible].

Speaker 2:

Yeah. Um, so we changed the name of like anything else slash questions from out there slash audience thing. We're now calling it. Um, what are we calling the Dave? Well, and now we're going to be going some time for some fan service. Wow. Really bundled and service affectionately called advance actually. It's um, sail was on. Um, yeah. Um, right. Thanks for coming in the line. Um, yeah, so affectionately our first, well, our first fan on the wall, our fan is watching now. Who's commented a couple of times tonight threw up some movie like saying he liked me for reviews and, um, watching them on YouTube mostly, and then wants to know if we're going to do a show, you know, like, are we ever going to do a big Lebowski? Um, Dave and I talked about nickel bouncy. We love that movie. But, um, we think we've all like a lot of probably going to talk about this movie. Like we love our movies, but we don't love just repeating podcasts that are already out there. Right. We feel like there's probably a thousand podcasters talking about big Lebowski probably tonight releasing their episode about big Lebowski. It's a great movie though. Um, John Goodman is hilarious and Emily, um,

Speaker 3:

And when it comes to the binge Watchers crew, the dudes abide,

Speaker 2:

Um, are we going to do gold? Yeah. We're going to do gold. I love gold. Uh, if we're talking about the Matthew McConaughey movie, I've never seen yeah. You are feel good movie months. So we're pushing that to the helicopter scene. Yeah. It's based on a it's loosely based on three real stories smashed together. It's not, is it a true story? Maybe not, but it's a, Oh yeah. I'm going to get to nacho Libris one second. I know it's on your list. I'm going to run your whole list down. All right. So I think what can I do gold in November of this year? It's it made the list and made the cuts on the list? Um, not totally re we might do that one because we would like to talk about Napoleon dynamite, which is why they same filmmaker, but Napoleon dynamite is also ultra popular. Now it's no longer some obscure little indie comedy. Would that be like a double feature or, Oh, I honestly want to avoid double features. Gotcha. You have to smash your two favorite pits of two films. It's almost like they're competing. So if we actually did a movie showdown, like Dave was talking about, if we did two movies competing, then a double feature would make sense, but not in the old model where we're like suddenly talking about two years ago. What's your favorite bits from Terminator and favorite bits from Terminator two and smash them together. Totally gets confusing, but I'm get shorty. That's a great movie. And the series is like, the movie is more of a comedy with John Travolta playing get shorty. Right. Um, we've had a sequel, but get short. He's a great film too. Where would that fit in? I'm not sure how that would fit in either, but it's a great movie. Thanks Vermont. Life of Walter Mitty, which I think is a roommate, but is definitely a remake on Penn. But, um, I mean, not to be, not to diss a movie you suggested, but that's kind of a forgettable movie, to be honest. I kind of forgot. Yeah. He has a really amazing sequence at the very beginning. And the rest of the movie is kind of it coasts from there. Well, you can appreciate it for being like a movie that comes by an American movie in a Nordic country, you know, like, um, they're either an Iceland or Norway or somewhere. I don't want to misquote the country, but there's somewhere in one of the Nordic culture countries. Right. Maybe, maybe or something. But, um, yeah, the old version is good, except for he throws in a campy Ben Stiller joke when he does the Benjamin button thing. When you reverse this time and it shows like an old crinkled up, like in the movie, you can't see this at home if you're just listening to the audio, but it's like, I'm making mutated hand gestures. It's okay. Hand gestures. Gosh, I would love to talk about the conjuring. W we we've talked about the shiny not summer. We've talked about, we've talked about these movies like around them, you know, last couple of years we've talked around them and we did. I feel like we did cover the whole Terminator series when we do that a long time ago. Yeah. It's an older episode. And then would we ever touch the documentary? Leaving Neverland?[inaudible] religion is very touching. You don't want to slip into, we don't want to slip into no-no. I watched that. That was intense. I bet that that's a, it is a great documentary, but that doesn't fall in line with the kind of stuff we typically get a conjuring escape. James wan is a great filmmaker. Like the stuff that he's doing, we're going to come into the country later on during our, we got summer slash we did we do. We do the score movie marathon every year. So we'll probably discuss some conjuring. I know conjuring three is on the horizon. Yeah, I think so. And it's about the boys max and theaters the same day. Yeah.

Speaker 4:

Is it really, they're going to do that too. That's one of the HBO max theater movies. Yeah. Okay. So I just need to get HBO max at this point, it seems like.

Speaker 2:

So the winner on this list, I think for us, for the type of show that we have is probably gold. And then if we, if we have time where we can fit, not right in somewhere on our growing list of things that we have to watch this year, we get to do about 50 to 55 episodes a year, approximately. So if we can put it in, we might be able to fit it in.

Speaker 4:

I like not sure, really very. That was a fun one. That is a fun movie. I'd watch that again.

Speaker 2:

Um, maybe the sports month, maybe we move something around. Cause in March we cover sports movie with first-line. Yeah. I snuck like three wrestling movies into the list. Slips back. One of them is,

Speaker 4:

Yeah, that is the wrestler.

Speaker 2:

Yeah. Oh yeah. Is leaving Neverland better than staying Neverland. I don't even know what that means. If you're going to explain your joke or leaving is like a no-no. I don't even know what it's about. Never land. Somebody want to Google it real quick. I have no idea what that is. I've never even heard of that. All right. Oh, we're cruising right along. This is pretty good. All right. All right. Now, one of the most brutal part of our entire show and it doesn't always have to be a game. It can literally just be what you watched for the week, but if we're doing a point system, it's gotta be fair. Cause I feel like it's getting rigged, rigged. What do you mean? Oh, okay. Okay. We'll try it. We'll try it and see what happens. Okay. We need to find very specific rules, rules. We didn't have time to plan it for this week, but I think in the future, what we should do is maybe elect one of us to be the judge and the three pitch

Speaker 4:

Conference

Speaker 2:

In the end on who the winner is and why. Um, I liked that idea. And if you need a lawyer, Adam's going to help you out during your guys' sections. Okay. Oh my gosh. Um, so we'll start with, uh, Nikki lates. What did you watch? What else did you watch?

Speaker 4:

I watched a movie called short time stars, stars, Dabney Coleman. And he's this cop and he's about to retire in a week. And uh, he wants me to get this life insurance policy. So he goes to the doctor and the doctor's like he gets uploaded a bunch of blood work in the dark, just like, dude, you're going to die. Little does Dabney Coleman know his blood work got switched. So he's like, Oh shoot, I'm going to die. So, but if I die on the job, I'm going to get this huge life insurance policy for my family. So he's trying everything in power to get himself killed on the job. And then, but what's funny is about this movie is that he can't die. Like everyone's trying to shoot him, blow him up, whatever. And he keeps like everyone misses them. And it's just awesome comedy. I totally bombed that. I'm sorry. Why should we watch it? Uh, cause it's funny. It's got Dabney Coleman and that premise is amazing. I think the premise is amazing. That's what I think.

Speaker 2:

Nikki, you were so much stronger in previous weeks.

Speaker 4:

I know really. I couldn't think of a minute. I bombed up on you. I can award you. No points. Don't want to watch this movie. I've never even heard of it.

Speaker 2:

I'll give you a point. Cause I've heard of this and, and hearings.

Speaker 4:

Yeah,

Speaker 3:

No, I gave it to him because he sold you. You're giving it to him because I've heard of this,

Speaker 2:

Andrew, you sold me. I can be better.

Speaker 3:

Okay. Okay. As long as he sold you, I was so passionate about it. Valid point. But if it's like, Oh yeah, I heard of this and you just, you know, okay.

Speaker 4:

I only got one point.

Speaker 3:

Yeah, she did was make me want to like watch, try gun again. Try just STEM stampede. Like that's what it sounded like. So I'm going to watch something else because

Speaker 2:

Dave's favorite show is because Dave is the King of anime gun. All right. We're getting a little long. We don't have time to talk about Tragon like, we're going to do, that's how we go off the rails as we've watched too many things and then, Oh, here's from the audience weighing in. So do we subtract your point? I wouldn't watch it.

Speaker 4:

Oh, for trigon or what? No,

Speaker 2:

Not for tri God,

Speaker 4:

My God, because I

Speaker 2:

Know we gotta keep going. We gotta keep going. Okay.

Speaker 4:

Or do I get a point or no? You got Dave point. Okay. One point. Okay, cool.

Speaker 3:

I'm not giving a point. I'm watching. Try again.

Speaker 2:

He's already watching anime. He's done. Okay. So Dave, what did you watch? All right. So I watched some movie called shadow in the cloud. Um, this is like a new movie in this growing, uh, John rhe of world war two monster movies. Um, it, it, it started to clear grace Marets as a, like a fighter pilot. That's like stuck in the hole of a ship or excuse me, not a ship, a plane and this movie shadow in the cloud. Okay. So it's a world war II monster movie where it's really tense. Uh, she's stuck in a hole for most of the movie. It's a limited storytelling movie. Like she's mostly in the space, like what I'm in right now for half of the movie. And you only hear that inner calm people. Uh, but there's gremlins in this movie. This is why you should watch it. This is the third best gremlin movie after your gremlins one and two.

Speaker 3:

All right.

Speaker 2:

These are like traditional gremlins, like historical gremlins. Yeah. These are playing gremlins.

Speaker 3:

Yeah.

Speaker 2:

Really tense and really has a lot of action. Like, and the whole movie, like not including the credits is only an hour and 15. So you can definitely find an hour and 15 to watch a really good gremlin movie in the sky. Huh? So that's why you should watch it. I'm on the fence about this movie. I'll give a half I'm on the fence. I'm going to have to, which means you're awarded a half.

Speaker 3:

I'm going to go half. Oh, I wasn't expecting him to drop gremlins in that scenario because in my head, I just thought they're just remaking buried with Ryan Reynolds. And then they did, they, I don't know for half of it

Speaker 2:

Expand past that for half of the movie. You're right. Half of the movie, it is a bit like buried and then they expanded out and then it gets really action. Intense.

Speaker 3:

Give that a half a point. I'm sorry.

Speaker 2:

Zero points. Okay. Adam, what did you, what else did you watch this week? Outside of the show.

Speaker 3:

Okay. I watched a movie on shutter called the bone box and it is about a grave robber that is trying to pay back debts that he has incurred. And he unleashes ghouls that haunt him.

Speaker 2:

What is the name of this movie? It's called the bone box. The bone box. Okay. Keep going.

Speaker 3:

And uh, the goals make his life even more difficult than the bookies that are trying to collect his gambling debts. So you'd get haunted. Don't want to spoil too much, but grave robber is in bigger trouble than he started out in.

Speaker 2:

I'll give a half, you have a half what's with these little easy halfsies.

Speaker 3:

He wants to watch it.

Speaker 2:

If you guys John, what'd you say you give a half or what'd you give? I'm not, I know no nothing for me. Okay. Gotcha. Gotcha. Okay. Gotcha. Oh my gosh. So we pitch, but here's what I want to say.

Speaker 3:

You're like ghouls go that'll work.

Speaker 2:

I've had to explain grumblings that they're not the same as the gremlins and gremlins one or two. It's just, you got to like expand on that.

Speaker 3:

I didn't say Ghoulies. I'm look.

Speaker 2:

Alright. Alright. I want to, all right. What I want to say is with my selection, if you guys don't give me any points, then this is bogus and totally rigged and crackle horse. Cause I went back and I rewatched the Frighteners, which I think is what a Michael J. Fox is best movies. And it's got the weird guy from meter that you guys love Jeff. And they're going to love the Frighteners. It's basically about this. A serial killer dies. He doesn't get to collect all the deaths he wanted. Cause he's wants to be the greatest serial killer in history. He comes back from the grave and somebody, they can see ghosts from a traumatic brain injury. Um, basically works as a private detective for ghosts and get to the little ghost friends to Jerry rig these hauntings and people's houses. And then they take on the serial killer and ghost form. It's great. It's like a horror comedy. That's what I watched. So I told you what I watched and why you should watch it.

Speaker 4:

The only thing I w I think you should have added to your pitch was, and it was directed by Peter Jackson. I think that would have,

Speaker 2:

You're not to give me a point. You pull it off your shelf automatically get points. I'm just saying, is that a new role that David has in his collection?

Speaker 3:

You get to give yourself points that I'm going to give me points too. I'm getting audience points, too, brother.

Speaker 4:

You got it. You know, we need it in the next week. I didn't record these audience points. So I'm lost on where we are there, but I did see someone say short time, I deserved it. So I'm just saying,

Speaker 2:

All right, but now seriously guys, I know, I know you guys are not happy with me in this moment because I'm being a Dick, but we're talking about the Frighteners. So let's see. Did I, do I get any points? Are you going to watch the Frighteners

Speaker 4:

Based upon what you told me? I liked the idea of a killer that died trying to get his kills back. That was the thing that someone on your pitch. So I'll give you a point. I got to put up, but I I'm just saying you should have added Peter Jackson. I'm just saying you got a point to, Oh, shoot. He's already ahead. Oh, shoot. He already won Adam. When he won by the two points

Speaker 2:

So far, I'm going to leave by half of what I can. I shouldn't say what with the points until, until, I mean, I have it right here.

Speaker 3:

Don is already winning because of his description, but because I care about him and I've already seen this movie and I know it's amazing. Uh, I'm going to give John a full point.

Speaker 4:

Dang, John let takes the lead with three points,

Speaker 3:

But I don't want it to count to some long-term cumulative thing. Otherwise I'll have to. Wow. Like at the end of the season, you calculate all points. Oh, that would be a regret. This one.

Speaker 2:

I don't know if anybody's keeping track well enough to know, by the time we get to the end of the run, who's going to, we should do that like best out of three or best out of it.

Speaker 4:

We were only like four games in. So we could just listen to the last part and figure it out, I guess. But yeah. Yeah.

Speaker 2:

I want to say competitive. Like I can't just come in with like, Hey, I saw this really great drama or something.

Speaker 4:

I was going to come in this week with camp candy and I knew it would've killed it. I'm just saying

Speaker 2:

We're getting close to wrapping it up. So I just want to say thanks for people tuning in tonight that watched it live. If you haven't watched it live, it's still going to be available on the Facebook page. And the YouTube channel to watch is a video. We're going to keep it up as a full episode and we'll have links to our other episodes. We'll have links to how the content is going to work. And it actually runs to the 14th of February. Cause it's about showing some love. That's what the concept of the contest is. We're going to do a giveaway. You know, you're going to get this Blu-ray and digital. We've got these to give out from paramount. We're also going to give away one year shutter, one year of criterion collection. How are you going to do that? Is you're going to send us a video, 30 seconds. We're going to post it on our Facebook page in our Twitter and our Instagram, all that stuff about what you love about the podcast page waters here. And if you do that, then you're in the giveaway and look, the first 10 people that do it are going to get the prizes because we're given up to 10. So get on it, you know? Um, other than that, does anybody else have anything to throw in here at the end special announcement or anything else that we didn't cover?

Speaker 3:

It's not really an announcement necessarily, but I thought it was neat. I didn't realize that all the characters last names were famous horror directors. The only one I really picked up on was, uh, like Julie, I think her name is Julia in the movie with Cronenberg. Oh yeah. And I thought that was the only reference. So I wasn't paying too close attention.

Speaker 4:

The janitor, everyone was the bus driver was Cunningham. There were so many.

Speaker 2:

Yeah. When we announced that you were going to watch this last week, Dave in a roundabout way mentioned the homage that this movie does to another movie. Dave, do you know what I'm talking about? You know what I'm touching on

Speaker 4:

Shivers.

Speaker 2:

No, I'm talking about, I'm talking about Bob[inaudible]. I was going to mention shivers. Oh,

Speaker 3:

Because it both involves a slug, but this slug doesn't.

Speaker 2:

But if you go back and watch the blog or listen to our episodes, definitely covered it. It's like the opening is, you know, uh, what the Letterman guy with the Letterman jacket that the homecoming King and the queen they're driving around, cruising around having a date at lover's point. And they see something, an alien comment come down, asteroid, whatever crash. And they go and investigate. And the blob, it takes over a farmer first and then attacks the town and the guy's the hero. But in night of the creeps that teenager himself gets infected and becomes like the first carrier of the alien, uh, whatever, um, slugs. When I notice, you know what I noticed this time around though, and I've watched under the groups, maybe like a handful of times is I never noticed that when the alien scientists are chasing the other alien in the beginning and the slugs get off the spaceship and the little injector, the escape pod tube, I finally noticed that he's actually infected that he's actually, he's like infected with the cloudy to earth or whatever. Good. Also in critters, they do this thing too with little alien guards on a prison thing. Like they gotta make a movie just about the guys who, the little alien, the incredible style. Well, I wanted to ask, like, what was the first ending everybody saw? Because like this movie, depending on, sorry, that's the only, that's the only thing about the director's cut. That's different is the angle that they use. I don't know if they show the crispy detective body walking around, you know, that might be open for, you know, the original, the actual ending was like a dumb joke with like the dog spitting out. Uh, that that's the version I watched. Yeah. That's Oh, that's the one.

Speaker 4:

Yeah, because it was on YouTube TV. So that's actually the version I watched.

Speaker 2:

Okay. So that's the theatrical ending. The director's cut has like where it looks like a spaceship is, uh, like, yeah. Oh, the spaceship is looking, it's looking around. Right.

Speaker 4:

I actually have no idea about this version. That's crazy. Yeah.

Speaker 2:

Oh, so you haven't even seen the director's cut. No, that's what we're reviewing the next episode, which is funny because Nick's about to tell you that's the time we've arrived at a little along the tooth here. Go ahead.

Speaker 4:

Uh, I guess I'll remind, um, I mean we're reviewing world. We're locked next week. Not the Western one from 1959. We're going warlock 1989 with this guy with cool blonde hair. You're going to love it. That's his name? I forgot his name.

Speaker 2:

I thought to be the new vampire movie. We'll touch on that next week.

Speaker 4:

I wasn't allowed to watch

Speaker 2:

This movie when I was little, but when we just lost her, the one I watch it next week, next week, next week. Okay. Sounds good. Well guys, yeah.

Speaker 4:

Uh, don't forget to visit us on social media, drop us an email or reach out with a movie request and tune in next week. As I said, we're watching warlock from 1989, not 59. I don't even know what the 59 version is. Anyways. This is Nikki T wishing you guys have aggressed and the best and uh, stuff got real.

Speaker 2:

It sounded like you said you were wishing they could touch breasts, but that's fine.

Speaker 4:

All day, all day, all night, all day, all night,

Speaker 2:

Whatever. There it is.
