Davey, you know, whipping up some KFC in his own kitchen. Dave, did you really look up a recipe on how to make your chicken

spk_0:   0:10
taste? Yeah, Like KFC?. Can't see when it was exposed. The live in herbs and spices, like a year or two ago. I really

spk_1:   0:21
I don't know that. I didn't know they gave away the secret.

spk_0:   0:23
What? What some, like somebody in the family did on the accident, or I don't know, Whatever.

spk_1:   0:29
I think the nephew probably just got pissed. And he's like, Here you go, leak. Send that

spk_0:   0:33
to read it to me on the board, will you? Yeah,

spk_1:   0:38
pretty much. It's like the guy was like, Oh, I have the You know, I got the Coca Cola recipe passed down from generation to generation.

spk_0:   0:45
Crack open a cold box of wine. Or pour something cold on ice.

spk_3:   0:51
It's the binge Watchers podcast. Yeah. All right.

spk_1:   1:16
Like their membership at the country club. Slip the recipe online. No problem. Do I understand the desperation to get yourself some KFC, David? Because it's like if you order out, you're taking chances, right? You know, it could be Corona chicken, right? You

spk_0:   1:30
know the spices

spk_1:   1:32
and a virus. So well, you know, the other thing to do is like, I keep driving past Burger King. And I'm, like, trying I'm trying to make my frozen Patties here, you know? Tastes like I'm trying a whopper it up, you know, at home. So I haven't I haven't broken down. I've made a commitment to on Lee Cook things here, right? You

spk_0:   1:55
haven't broken down and gotten food yet? I

spk_1:   1:57
haven't ordered anything. Um, What's

spk_0:   1:59
going two days a week? It's so good.

spk_1:   2:02
Okay, what's killing me is that there's a run on frozen pizza and it's worse than the run on the toilet paper. It's like,

spk_0:   2:09
Oh, no, I

spk_1:   2:10
realize that cheese pizza. I didn't realize regular stupid cheese was people fucking popular at all. Really? Like the entire aisle is like, blacked out. You know, no cheese anywhere you get your meat lovers get your you know, your pepperoni. But even but the name brands, like the popular brands are gone. I right into this one thing, it's like, Oh, we got £2 of cheese in this pizza. It's called like Mike Ultimate pizza. I'm like, Who makes this pizza? I've never seen this before in my life.

spk_0:   2:36
Oh, I've seen those. It

spk_1:   2:39
does. It has a guy's head with, like, sunglasses on it. Hey, this is the ultimate pizza. We got £2 of cheese and ingredients in here. Take me home today. I'm like, I'm only taking home today, Mike, because I don't really believe that you have told me pizza, but like there's no Red Baron cheese like, what am I gonna d'oh most motivated to buy all those frozen pizza because of the stupid guy who's from? He's from Massachusetts. Actually, his name is David Portnoy. I think he made all his money like like trading like in stocks. But he's the guy that does like he eats pizza every day. And for like, two years. The guy's been doing pizza reviews of like, pizza Places, and now he's frozen pizza because stuck in his house. Yeah, you guys have seen this right? Like that one bite

spk_0:   3:18
I read a review about, except he doesn't

spk_1:   3:20
do one bikes like 10 bites and then tells you the score. Plus, he's also like if he's also very, very like, uh, he's very Boston like if you ever want to know what a stereotype is like watches, feats of reviews. You know, like you get an idea like very Boston attitude. But

spk_2:   3:37
what do you do with the pizza that he doesn't need? Is you just tossing pizza?

spk_1:   3:41
No, he's

spk_2:   3:41
he's He leaves secretly sick of pizza and, you

spk_1:   3:45
know, he eats pizza every day.

spk_2:   3:47
He was on a desert island. He would be like, What food do you want to be like Pizza tacos?

spk_1:   3:54
E. I mean, I do believe that pizza is like the perfect food. I

spk_2:   3:59
haven't had anything in years.

spk_0:   4:01
What? I said, I have pizza tonight. Had Little Caesars. It's great

spk_1:   4:07
Little Caesars of saving everybody. It's hot and

spk_0:   4:08
ready. It's not ready.

spk_1:   4:11
It's still it's amazingly still hot and ready. You know what? You know what amazes me? How quickly all the corporations and companies were able to whip together commercials like Toyota. Toyota's like,

spk_0:   4:22
Oh, I know

spk_1:   4:23
we were here for you. The power e.

spk_0:   4:25
I just saw that one for I think, another people for no Burger King. They have one word like people are laying on the couch and they're rising up like we'll deliver for free.

spk_1:   4:35
It's gonna be a couch hero or something. And they're like,

spk_0:   4:37
Yeah, like, Wow, Really social distancing there, huh? E

spk_1:   4:42
I mean, well, you listen. It's

spk_2:   4:44
They don't really expect people to social distance inside their house. Or do they?

spk_1:   4:50
Who knows? I guess

spk_0:   4:52
if you don't

spk_1:   4:52
trust the people you live with

spk_2:   4:54
Yeah, they're all sick. I,

spk_1:   5:03
um Ah, you know who's sick, actually. Did you guys see that? I shared with the gentleman here, the big waters crew I shared with them? A picture from one of my new INSTAGRAM followers. And I cannot make an argument that Dave should be posted every day on Instagram with followers like this. Like this'll is Jeff the killer. But here's here's the amazing thing. So his name is Jeff the killer. His status is go to sleep. If that's not creepy enough, he's Jeff the killer. 666 seven. And I'm like, Wait a minute, wait a minute. So there were already 666 Jeff two killers on instagram that he couldn't get. The name was taken like he had. He had to go and get like, 666 then seven, right? It's the rest of the name was taken. Um hey, he creeped me out so much, I sat down and watched, um, wrinkles the clown on Lulu, which is the dog? Yeah, the mythology of built around this guy who was You can call this text message or whatever, and he'll freak your kids out. And then, like, supposing there was a guy walking around in a mask in like Southern Florida and you could call him up and he like free ticket instead of telling the kids like if they're not either going to get on the naughty list with Santa Claus, this guy

spk_0:   6:18
was like, show up

spk_1:   6:19
in your backyard and scare your Children to be to be

spk_0:   6:21
I've never heard of this thing. This isn't

spk_1:   6:23
him. I just couldn't go have beers. You know, once the state home thing is lifted, they could go have beers together. But anyway, Jeff, the killer profile the picture I shared is like he's got a guy with a bloody swastika. He's got an aborted fetus. He's got like, um, I don't know, a truckload of, ah, like illegals being loaded off, carted off somewhere by like the cartel. And another thing he had David mentioned hen tase him today is Santa Anna Mae like we'll be doing an animal running the question like, Where do you draw the line between just a sex video and animated feature films? And this guy had, like, bloody Han Tae, And I'm like, Who is this guy? So I want to see who has followers where I'm like, Okay. Is this like a colt of Jeff? The serial killer? No, like his average followers are like 20 teenage kids. I'm like, Oh, he's a teenager. So he's like a kid and, like, this is what he thinks. It's cool. This is great. I have a lot of a lot of faith in the future. Guys, I'm so excited for the next year.

spk_2:   7:15
I have a different theory that he is tthe e. He's in prison, and the kids that are following them are his escape victims that have to keep tabs on him. And when he actually gets out

spk_1:   7:28
Wow, I don't know. Can prisoners do it? I mean,

spk_2:   7:31
I don't know, man. I think I

spk_1:   7:34
heard What's his name? The Tiger King Couldn't get couldn't watch this tire king show. So I don't know if every prison has Internet. I really don't know I don't

spk_2:   7:41
know. It depends on who you know, in prison and well,

spk_0:   7:44
yeah, yeah, sure.

spk_1:   7:48
How many dicks? And whose dick is it that you're willing to say

spk_0:   7:51
is? Oh, my goodness gracious. Hey.

spk_1:   7:55
Hey, man. Prison rules. Not like any other rules that there are. Except I guess, for now, the walk down rules, I guess, like, people are like, What are you willing to do for that cheese pizza? I don't know.

spk_2:   8:06
What is that? Cheese pizza. That

spk_1:   8:08
was almost an awkward silence there. And I was like, prison sex rules. No survivor. I guess nobody knows

spk_0:   8:16
how to adapt. Were in prison. Yes. I think

spk_2:   8:20
pizza's a better topic. Let's talk about cauliflower pizza.

spk_0:   8:24
Oh, wow. What? They're amazing. Do in a pinch.

spk_1:   8:31
I'm desperately trying to Segway into Brian Dennehy, but I don't think all

spk_0:   8:37
great Dad and he never ate any fucking cauliflower, steak and whiskey all day.

spk_1:   8:42
Was a truck driver, a marine, and then an actor like he eats steaks. I mean, that guy probably eat a steak every day of his life until he died. And I'm so glad they didn't report his death as Corona virus related. Thankful that no matter What What is killing? It doesn't matter that everything is being reported as like I got another one. Got another. Hey, got the got the guitarist you know, that used to play with what's his name. He's gone, you know, like every death is like,

spk_2:   9:06
Oh, they celebrate it. They're like, Yeah, I Look what? It's killing A Yeah,

spk_1:   9:09
Yeah. All right. Um, anyway, so I will say, I would say about Brian. We lost a great actor. I really I don't really see what a bunch of Tony Awards and a Golden Globe for the same part that won the Tony Award was I didn't know he was Willy Loman in Death of a Salesman. Apparently, they made that into a TV movie as well. And he got the Golden Globe for that.

spk_0:   9:28
I don't know that

spk_1:   9:29
the most recent thing I saw him in was a movie called Tag, which was a comedy where people are playing tag for, like, 30 years, and they're trying to tag each other.

spk_0:   9:36
Oh, yeah, I saw that gave

spk_1:   9:38
What's your favorite Brian Dennehy movie?

spk_0:   9:41
Um, you know, I'm gonna have to go, Tommy boy. I think that might be the first thing I remember him in, or at least, uh, where he stood out to me. I just barely caught up with the FX movies lately. Those air? Pretty fun. But I have to say it, Tommy boy.

spk_1:   9:56
Nick, what about you, man?

spk_0:   9:58
Uh, as Dave mentioned FX one into I loved his character and that I love those movies of of the idea. Like, if anyone hasn't seen those movies, go check him out in Brenda, Denny and Brian Browner. And and they're a great dynamic. And I love this movie. Is when

spk_1:   10:13
he's a cop, right? It's about FX guy. Yeah,

spk_0:   10:17
any help him out. And then there's, like, some corrupt cops and both of the movies and Brandies. Brendan he, like, just help him out. He's like the buddy you want tohave. What

spk_1:   10:26
about you, Adam?

spk_2:   10:27
Oh, I love those FX movies. Let me tell you, you his face is just implant in imprinted on your mind about like, this is his eye. And, you know, you don't know what he's gonna be in. You're watching a movie, but, oh, it's that guy. It's that guy. And you know Brian Dennehy, man. So I like them in Ah, Romeo and Juliet as well,

spk_0:   10:49
you know, he said,

spk_1:   10:51
though he said early on that he said that he's the guy you wouldn't cast. He's the guy you wouldn't see. It's so funny that you say, like he's so recognizable now. But he went through a period where, like that was this thing because he was a character actor, right? And that used to be like a the tried and true actors, like they had to establish a niche, and then they were cast in that, like that mold or whatever. But I'm surprised nobody mentioned the first Rambo where he plays like that.

spk_2:   11:13
Yeah, I know if he's like, he's a

spk_1:   11:15
great thing for me and there's a new There's a movie that I came across that was made in the eighties as well that I didn't know he did with um oh, gosh, What's that? What's James Woods? James? What is in a movie with him playing a hit man? Yeah, he wants Brian Dennehy's character to write a book about his life as a hit man. And the movies get this. The movie's called Bestseller as Nick just dropped, like

spk_0:   11:43
stealing your thunder, I tell you,

spk_1:   11:46
I love how movies in the 60 seventies and eighties literally told you in the kind of deal they would pick a title and you knew what the movie was. And I'm like, Wow, just can't guys on that for a minute, you know, like it's just that, you know, Cocoon. Yeah, Cocoon Cocoon is also great. I think people, if they don't know him from Rambo, they know him from playing the alien leader in Cocoon. Who I think his name was

spk_0:   12:06
forgot he was in the

spk_1:   12:08
Walter. I'm not sure, but I think that's what they call. I might be getting confused with Grandpa's name, but there's like that. Folks, if you haven't seen these movie I you forgetting whether or not these people have seen these movies. Hopefully they have. But Cocoon is like there's a race of, like, really nice aliens, and they're trying to get what they're trying to get back to their home planet right there trying to take off or something. But they also have the power to make you young again. But then, if we take too much of their interview away, it's like giving them cancer. There's, like the whole thing in the pool where the old people get too much energy than the alien start to die. You guys remember that, right? Like the cocoons, like, was there life? I just spoil the whole fucking movie.

spk_2:   12:42
But I was about to interrupt you like Johnny Spoiler. Everybody just let you dig the hole. I don't know what was wrong with me. I felt like I but do you see a while watching this train wreck? And you see

spk_1:   12:55
how it instantly happens though, Adam, I mean, like, I am so excited that we're talking about a movie. I love that. I just continue to ramble into Luke's story.

spk_2:   13:03
Let me tell you exactly what the main bullet points in the booth. What was giving a mayor you moving out? It's like your old rule was, If it's been out for longer than two years, then you don't have any right to complain when I spoil it for you.

spk_1:   13:22
Yeah. Yeah, that's that's yeah. Um,

spk_2:   13:27
I don't know if that's still the rule

spk_1:   13:29
that you get along, because now it's so awkward. I heard that the moon night TV show is coming out November and Moon night. It's like the's a psychopath version of Batman that exists in the Marvel universe is the best way I can describe him. He's like a Bruce Wayne type. Um, he's like they're Batman, but they call Moon night. He's got a white costume, he's got a moon on. It's just, um, they made a show out of them. Apparently. Film out November. But speaking of Batman, there's some scrap Batman offerings that actually sounded pretty cool. Like, um, you guys familiar with the Batman beyond Cartoon? You guys ever see that?

spk_2:   14:03
Yeah, I liked it

spk_1:   14:05
well, set in the future, and it was about Terry McGinnis. And I won't tell you who he is. I'm trying to spoil the cartoon for people that might find this thing, But there's a new Batman. I won't tell you why there's a new Batman, but he goes looking for the old Batman. The old Batman's kind of like his mentor trainer, etcetera, etcetera, And there's a good reveal later, but I'll just leave it out. But I heard at one point they were gonna have clean ease, would play the grizzled like, out of touch with society. You know Bruce Wayne in a Batman Beyond Live Action movie, and I was like, Wow,

spk_0:   14:34
that would be kind of interesting.

spk_1:   14:36
Clean Eastwood is grizzled and out of touch. It was like, Let him play that version of Bruce Wayne. I watch it, and I think a lot of people would watch it. The other thing I came across was this funny story about how Darren Aronofsky, who made this ah, pretty magical movie about Noah he made the wrestler. He made probably some other things that I'm forgetting I record most known for. He's a great director, is one of my favorites, and at one point he was attached to do the next Batman movie before the Batman with Matt, whatever his name is or what it was ever doing. This the new Batman with, um, the kid from Twilight Darren Aronofsky was that reads, There we go. That's the man I was looking for. He's doing the Batman now. But before that, Darren Aronofsky was gonna pluck walking Phoenix to play to play Bruce Wayne in the Batman. I'm like, Okay, well, that was

spk_0:   15:26
pretty. Never wear a hooker,

spk_2:   15:29
but again, Batman.

spk_1:   15:30
But you know what they told Aronofsky at that time? They said, no, you gotta have Freddy Prince Jr.

spk_0:   15:35
Oh, no, no, no, no, no, e o. No, no, that I'm glad they didn't. Yeah,

spk_2:   15:52
yeah. No, His talk show is Ah. Is it still on? Do you know about his talk show?

spk_1:   15:58
I don't know. He's done a lot of voices in a lot of Star Wars cartoons lately.

spk_0:   16:01
Isn't he in the new Punky Brewster? Busy? Yeah, I think he is. Really?

spk_1:   16:06

Um, I don't want to start with punky, but the cat's out of the bag on that one. Yeah, I guess we'll start with the Peacock offerings. Then let's let's talk about Punky Brewster. Did you guys watch the trailer?

spk_0:   17:23
No. Yeah. No. Okay. I

spk_2:   17:26
didn't I couldn't bring myself to do it.

spk_1:   17:28
Yeah, she's definitely She's definitely not punky at all. You might as well call it. No, it's called old mom Brewster. I don't know whose decision was I'm I want to be for the peacock guys. Who knows? Maybe we'll have some peacock interviews on the show. That be great. I'm gonna watch it. I mean, what choice do I have? I'll be downloading Peacock and watching the Punky Brewster to see where it goes, but not happy with the trailer. To be honest with you, I am more happy coming down the pipe is we're gonna watch. Zack Morris Is kid fighting a C Slater in freakin saved by the bell. I can't believe you remembered their all their complete names. That's crazy. I have been saved by the bell in such a long time. Like I remember college years. Remember watching that for a little while, but say where the folks is coming back

spk_0:   18:07
in a big

spk_1:   18:08
way. It's like the other. It's gonna probably be the flagship show on the Peacock network, right? Yeah, that Caesar was just It literally was just a teaser. It doesn't tell

spk_0:   18:18
you it's really a teaser. Yeah, you barely get to know anything. You can tell it's a bunch of new cast members, of course.

spk_1:   18:24
Well, I mean, but that's what saved by the noted right? Didn't what Aaron Spelling cast a bunch of note. No names, Right? But they built a reputation on the original. Saved by the bell. Yeah. Yeah. So it's a good opportunity if you're young, hot Instagram star gets cast in a frickin peacock show thing. I think so. Anyway, So what do you guys are gonna do it in a

spk_0:   18:46
try, maybe one and then see where is that? I'll try the free trial and see if I like you too. No, wait. Is the Peacock Network What is it? Maybe

spk_1:   18:56
because maybe we'll get a free trial.

spk_0:   18:58
Yeah, maybe. I said, you know, they're gonna offer, like, a week or a month free, so I'm going away. Present Bench watchers review you. Just going for

spk_1:   19:10
Johnny. Spoiler just tells you everything you need to know about

spk_0:   19:12
that. What if we have signed adding points?

spk_1:   19:16
Oh, yeah. That's a good idea. We'll just start. You people send it to Adam and

spk_2:   19:19
oh. Then I'll have tea. Then I'll have to watch it.

spk_1:   19:24
Okay. The Okay. A remake that came out of freaking left field. Nowhere. No publicity, no advertising. Nothing. But it suddenly announced the Valley go remake. No, This is a guilty pleasure of mine. Right? Um,

spk_0:   19:37
guilty T o everyone's

spk_1:   19:41
everybody about Valley Girl What it is and what we like it boom.

spk_0:   19:45
Well, it's like fucking Nicolas Cage is like, first big movie. Um, like he's so actually just watch us, like, literally 34 weeks ago. Um, Nicolas Cage, young punk. I can't remember the girl's name. Julian. The movie. It's basically like Romeo Juliet of the eighties with punks and Valley girls. And, uh, you know, I It's a fun movie. Has got the great soundtrack. Yeah, like I don't know, it mean that I wasn't alive. Like, I think it came out the year I was born, so I wasn't alive during that time. But that's what I imagine that eighties Hollywood was like, It's ah, it's a good time capsule.

spk_1:   20:22
The girl. Are you thinking of his Deborah Foreman? She's in Wax works with Zach Galligan. Um, she's playing

spk_0:   20:29
the Valley

spk_1:   20:29
girl, and it's like literally it's that thing. Like there's the rich kids and she's one of them. But she wants to go to a punk concert, said, whole era, that whole scene punks in the valley and they invade like the turf of like the, um, I don't know the rich Valley kids, right or whatever, but it's a love story, too. Romantic comedy, but again, it's pretty good, actually. And so But now I mean, Thea remake is a music right

spk_0:   20:54
now. I have conflicting feelings. Did anybody else wants the trailer? I haven't seen the trailer. Oh, their trailers out. I didn't even Yeah, Yeah, that's what I

spk_1:   21:03
discovered in it. And it just literally, you know, auto played. I was looking at the same by the bell stuff to research it. And then boom, I was like, Wait a minute. What is this Valley girl to make what is happening here?

spk_0:   21:11
I saved by the bell stuff E i e. I don't know, man. I might be the I might be the only guy here, but I I saw the trailer and I'm like, I actually kind of kind of interested because they actually went back to the eighties instead of like, a modern day didn't modernize it except except for the story, although but then points taken off because it has a guy Logan Paul in and he's a piece of shit, so I

spk_1:   21:45
didn't know one of the holes in it. I definitely can't. I

spk_0:   21:50
saw I caught that at the end, and I was conflicted because I'm like, Okay, you actually kind of sold me on this. And then I saw Logan. Paul Mike Fuck. Well, it to its

spk_2:   21:59
credit, he has done a lot of work to massage himself and fix himself. And he is. He has promised to never make fun of debt people ever again. Well,

spk_0:   22:12
well, then, next ticket, I

spk_2:   22:15
guess. Um, thank you. Don't throw a maturing process. We get to see these people when they were teenagers. And I

spk_1:   22:22
don't want to spend this much time on the Paul Paul. We're done with Paul. Um, the other remake that's coming out, you guys. You see that? They're making a remaking Firestarter. What? Supposedly Stephen King approved script?

spk_0:   22:36
Well, that I hate to say it, but Stephen King's approval means next to zero to me. O t approved. He talks a lot of shit. That's awful. Totally does

spk_1:   22:48
whatever. I mean, he spent 30 years writing the stories. That's great. And now he's got 30 years left to approve all these stories and

spk_0:   22:54
a lot of money. So

spk_2:   22:55
there's lost Melanie. What? He's lost credibility

spk_0:   23:01
asleep when it comes to like movies or things he promotes. I think he's still like a great writer, But yeah, he doesn't. I hate to say it like John Carpenter's kind of the same way. Like he approved, like, remakes of his best moment going behind it. And they're fucking awful. His remake of the Fog was one of the worst things I've ever seen. You wonder

spk_1:   23:21
about that if you like. He's gonna give honest press, like if he sees a screening and was one of his movies he doesn't like. But then he has to do the press junket the press tour and have to go on interviews. I could be honest. I

spk_0:   23:32
think he's turned around last money. Yeah, I think, uh, I think he's kind of turned around on that. Like he seems to gone to his older years. His older phase weren't like he has no filter like now he'll talk shit about projects for things. Now we're so, uh, you guys long

spk_2:   23:55
enough? No, I think the idea of long after the film promotion has ended in the that initial surge of income. Uh, then he can talk trash about it.

spk_0:   24:13
Yeah, that's how it goes

spk_1:   24:16
once in tanks, you can blame it on the new director. That just came off music

spk_0:   24:19
video. I wanted to say something at the time. Yeah, I thought it was

spk_2:   24:24
good, but upon second look and third look

spk_0:   24:30
so true.

spk_1:   24:31
So long delayed. But the remake that I'm the most excited about hopefully is I think Michael Shannon is still legit. Whether Stephen King is diligent, I don't know, but I think Michael Shannon is still legit. It's supposed to be the detective in the new alien nation, but now that's on the back burner because of the Fox buyout. Right? So, like, nobody knows if they're gonna bring that through fruition. You know what, um, what's her name? The G l heard or whatever. She's like the aliens producer, but she's also helped, right? Alien, you know, was attached to alienation. And, uh and anyway, so it's just like it's stuck in. Like, um, it's just stuck in

spk_2:   25:06
development, hell or some other kind of health. Well, I mean, well, because takeover hell

spk_1:   25:13
take over hell, yeah. Like buyout, like merger hell, because now what is Disney going to do? with it. But speaking of being in hell, there is a Hillary's of remains finally on the calendar with David Bruckner, who did the ritual VHS and some of the episodes of The Creepshow TV's theories. That's on Shuter, Nick. What do you think?

spk_0:   25:30
I'm excited about? This guy. I loved what he did for the first episode of VHS. I love the ritual. So I think this is a very strong candidate to do hell raiser and could do it justice. They can't do any worse than what they've done for the past 15 years, right? Yeah. The street video Sequels that Miramax have

spk_1:   25:48
been kicking out. Yeah, they've been pretty. Dave, what do you think?

spk_0:   25:52
Um, you know, I don't have that strong of opinion on Lee because I haven't seen a ritual. I've seen VHS and creep show, but I couldn't tell you which ones he did. So I have to, um, go back and take a look. But I've heard from a few other people who really love the rituals, so I'm gonna have to put my faith in him. I actually just watch the original to hell raises recently, so I mean, he's got a lot to live up to. That's all I'll say that much those 1st 2 Incredible. The 1st 2 are amazing. I would have probably got around it to recently. Outstanding movies. I actually choose the better sequel Knife, but it's a great sequel. Heard Logan

spk_1:   26:25
Paul is in this one is

spk_0:   26:30
as long as it takes him out.

spk_2:   26:33
I don't know. I've never seen him act. It's hard to say.

spk_1:   26:36
Yeah, maybe. Maybe the sinner. But

spk_2:   26:38
I saw him being a total ass before, and I saw him apologize. So

spk_1:   26:43
wait, wait, wait. I heard that you saw another person being an ass, or at least at least drinking in great quantities recently. I don't know if you want to tell that story.

spk_2:   26:51
I'm not sure exactly what story you're referring to.

spk_1:   26:54
All right. Moving on

spk_0:   26:59
to talk about me. Way to put it close on the way. Okay. Where are we?

spk_1:   27:08
Let's see. Oh, okay. We'll stay in a horror movie land. You guys know that Sam Raimi is officially attached to direct doctor, and it's very interesting. Yeah. Yeah, this is pretty cool in there. Say, Bruce Campbell's gonna pop up who's like Sandra was like number one go to guy. And then, um they're saying, Like, uh, Bruce Campbell is gonna pop up in Mallrats. To what? You think that David?

spk_0:   27:32
Hell, yeah. I mean, that's like putting peanut butter and jelly together for me. Love. Stammering are Excuse me, Bruce Campbell of Kevin Smith movies. So why not? What did

spk_1:   27:41
you guys hear? That they're talking another evil dead, but same Sam said he'll be attached, but cachet, Or like the the stipulation is that you gotta put Campbell back in is, you know, ash from the evil dead or whatever.

spk_0:   27:54
I thought they were done with that, though. We dealt with the TV show for sure, but they've never wrote about movies. Okay, but just too bad, because I'm catching up with the TV show, and it's like it has the same quality as the movies. They're actually really well done. I don't know if anybody else has watched him, but there were things that I would love to. Yeah, I want to see it there on Netflix. I'm just looking forward to anything being in theaters, right? Yeah. Yeah, I know. It's like, uh what keeps getting pushed back. I don't know. Like what do we have to look forward

spk_1:   28:27
to? Well, everything is going straight to streaming. Yeah, there's a biopic coming out with Tom Party and Capone being Al Capone. Like I really always heard about that movie last year was really looking forward to it, like that's gonna be streaming like next month.

spk_0:   28:41
Yeah, well, I'll tell you to think I was looking forward to, but it has, like the biggest cursed production history are released history Is that new mutants, which was supposed to come out this month and then got pushed off because of Corona, the X Men horror movie, which looks a lot like nightmare on Elm Mystery three. But that keeps getting pushed off if it hasn't gotten a release date. So that's what I'm looking forward to whenever they decide to put it out. What about you, Adam?

spk_1:   29:06
You have anything coming out that you're looking forward to?

spk_2:   29:09
I'm excited about catching up on all the old anime that I have not seen before. I'm super excited about all that old stuff, new stuff, and there's too much old stuff. All these old geniuses, all these old movies. That's what binge watch is all about. For me.

spk_1:   29:27
Speaking of enemy, I guess we should talk about robot Carnival, which we wait, We review, uh, this week we're gonna review basically ate animators in the nineties got together, including one of the enemy eaters from Ankara whose name is, uh oh, Tommo, which sounds like atomic like Adam a little bit. And they did this movie where the robot carnivals cruising through like a futuristic wasteland. And then the robots are just simply trying to entertain, But they don't know how fragile human beings are, like a blow up a village in the beginning. And then it breaks off into these, uh, these different like animated stories. Right now, they're all related to machines in some way, but they're kind of trippy and dreamy. It's kind of our departure from the enemies that we have been watching on the show, you know, covering for this month or whatever, but I'll start with Nick. Do you have a favorite story? And why? From this trippy enemy?

spk_0:   30:21
I thought this was a very visual. This is my least favorite of the ones we watched. Yeah, I think my favorite one was chicken man and redneck. I wrote down

spk_1:   30:30
Oh, Yeah, yeah, they released that again, like on VHS, and they changed the name to Nightmare. But originally you're right. It was called

spk_0:   30:37
Oh man

spk_1:   30:38
and Redneck on some of the American releases or whatever. They changed the name of the story, but that towards the end of the movie

spk_0:   30:44
yeah, I thought, visually and like the sound design and everything, I don't know why that one Just grab me the most. I like that. Yeah,

spk_1:   30:52
Adam, what about you?

spk_2:   30:53
I am looking for the right name of it, but it's the one where the There at the robot themed amusement park. It's towards the beginning, right after the interest sequence where the girl, it's like she tells her friend, Oh, my boyfriend's coming and then she runs up to them and oh, it's Wait, that's my boyfriend.

spk_1:   31:13
Like that movie that want some Starlight angel, and it looks like they're like in Disneyland, and it's virtual reality, but it's really hard to understand that, but it looks like she's flying through a dream sequence and that, like a robot who works there, is helping her. And then, like, I didn't get this part. I had to read this on the Internet later like that. Once he starts turned into a human, it's really that's just because it's his costume. And he works there. And he's trying to help her, right? And like he becomes the new boyfriend. And it's kind of dreamy, as you said with two teenage girls, one of them the friends dating the old boyfriend. And she's sad.

spk_2:   31:46
Yeah, they tried to throw you off earlier to make you think that that guy is like

spk_1:   31:50
you think you totally think is a robot,

spk_2:   31:53
but his head falls off trips thing. He's a dude. Yeah, yeah, but you don't get you don't see his head then, eh? So you don't know that it's It's just a helmet or a mask until you watch it twice. Because I actually watched it twice. This thing was amazing to me, and it was like, for me, it was ah, the anime version of Fantasia. Uh, yeah, this is so musically oriented.

spk_1:   32:16
This is like a Japanese fantasia. Exactly. Right, Dave, what about you?

spk_0:   32:19
I actually didn't mind. That's what I actually kind of like this one. My favorites are kind of a toss up between the very first story. Franken's gears, which kind of remind me a bit of like Pinocchio or something of the like. But I also really like the 11 of the few die like ones Where with the the robot on the old man. I guess I should have, like, you know, written things down or whatever, but you know

spk_1:   32:41
what you're talking about? Presence where he built a girl. And she's like a robot that he hides from his family like he keeps her.

spk_0:   32:46
Yes, yeah, yeah, that was kind of heartbreaking.

spk_1:   32:49
Heartbreaking. Now that was disturbing

spk_0:   32:51
E at the end. I don't know. I don't understand what will become of his haircut. Seth, who

spk_1:   32:58
knows? It's like Victorian England, but they have, like robots. And two, the fact like the the you know, the school kids who look like they're out of What's that? What's that thing about the orphan that hold up the soup? And it's like a please, sir, can I have some more? Who is that, right? Yeah, like some kids from all over twist are kicking around the school master's head and you realize all you must be an android or a robot or something, cause his head's like screaming as they kick him through the streets in the beginning. And then you find out this guy who was riding around in, like, you know, one of those automatic cars or whatever. Like I don't know if he works in robotics, whatever he builds little trinkets. And then he built a doll that comes to life and you don't know if he's building That doll is like a sexual thing. Or if it's supposed to be like a fake daughter, it's really unclear. That's why I said it's kind of creepy. But then he hides it from his whole family for like 30 years. One point he loses his mind and tries to kill her. And she's like leaking oil everywhere in the workshop there, Um, that's not my favorite one I like the one that's called, like, ah, quizzical deprived or whatever, where there's like a human. Then there's like an alien invasion, and the robots are fighting. And then the android tries to save the girl, and he fights like a mutant with with green hair, and they're like fighting them like that Crystal Palace or whatever. And like he powers up and he's got like, an android skeleton. You guys don't know what I'm talking about. Like they have like, a fight. Yeah, gets shot up with a machine gun, and then you got when you realize he's an android and then like they duke it out that when I thought was pretty cool reminded me of, like a lot of other enemy that I like. State was talking about Frank and scares where the guys like building a robot in the later on. They have, like a tell of two robot cities and, like the Villagers, were fighting against an invader that has like a big wooden robot suit. And they have a steam power robot there, like fighting in the villages towards the end of the movie. But like I felt like, those two stories were kind of related, like, at least in the tone and context. The other stories. There's one. The one the Nick mentioned is like a dream sequence or whatever, and then the wrap arounds are also animated like there's, ah, prologue and epilogue. You talk about how this carnival rose through like the waistlines. Hence the name Robot Carnival, I guess, right? So it's like whatever I mean this is a departure from, like, the action oriented, like, heavy

spk_0:   35:08
plot we've been watching you trying to

spk_1:   35:11
do, like, is anyone last week? Because I'm trying. I was trying to go across the board and try to find, like, you know, things that, like, really, I'm just trying to please Dave. I guess because

spk_0:   35:21
you've given him a variety for for sure, like everyone has been so different. Yeah. Yeah. Well, this one so far has been my favorite, actually. Really good, because because of Buck, the trend of all the other ones like this one was its own thing. Stories were very animation styles varied. I can't say I loved every bit of animation, but I appreciated that it was different. And particularly like the first, the silent ones in the beginning. I know like this. This one was more in my bag. It wasn't It wasn't so much scifi too. I mean, there is some scifi to it, but I don't know, they felt like more personal stories.

spk_1:   35:54
You watching you watching?

spk_0:   35:57
Um I well, being sheltered in place than working from home. I've been catching up with classics that I pushed off for too many years. So I finally watched the very first naked gun. I watched the 1st 2 godfathers, which I've said for years. Godfather was shit. No, it just turned out. I watched it when I was, like, 11 and didn't get it.

spk_2:   36:18
Why is the horse head in the bed?

spk_0:   36:22
No, I really like the 1st 2 godfathers. I still I'm still Goodfellas guy, but like it, I get it. I get the hype now. What

spk_1:   36:29
about you, Nick? What? You watching

spk_0:   36:31
and watch the remake of Child's play this week? Not bad. Yeah, that at all, actually, kind of a Mark Hamel. Wow. You're amazing. Voice over like he's really good. It wasn't better. All I actually enjoyed it. And then I watched platform on Netflix against her to that one. I haven't ripped into it. Yeah, that was That was kind of crazy. Don't go. Don't go. Don't read much about it. Just go in, go in blind.

spk_2:   36:57
That's where you're not saying anything. Because I was like, What? Is that

spk_0:   37:00
you? Yeah. I don't know.

spk_1:   37:03
I'm tongue for you, Adam. Right now, But

spk_2:   37:06
thank you. Did

spk_0:   37:07
you watch it too? I mean, yeah, I did. I loved it. Yeah, I know what it's like because I don't give some of it away. Yeah, I don't either,

spk_2:   37:16
but it just sounds like that elevator genre from last week. Thanks, Jeff.

spk_1:   37:26
Brings us to you. Atomic. What's your nuclear wasteland? What you watching

spk_2:   37:31
nonstop anime? I've been catching up on old Siri's that I've saw in such low quality back in the day Blue Sub six, a series that I'm super excited for to share with people because it's so fun that that's kind of like, uh, it's like a sequel to Dr Moreau's Island from H. G. Wells. With more modern technology, people mix. He's mixing with all these different animals, and he declares war on humanity and stuff like that, things that we could probably all identify

spk_1:   38:00
with. Who are the main characters? Like who? What story do you follow?

spk_2:   38:05
Don't ask you about specifics. I just a mad doctor on the island, and you don't

spk_1:   38:11
have to ask them about child's play because it's Chuckie. So I know you're watching it to see what Chucky is gonna do. E. I don't

spk_2:   38:18
know, like limits. Okay, me how I work, how my brain works on a memorize character names and almost anything. I just know who they are because I'm gonna only gonna spend a short period of time with them. Uh, if I hang around with you for, like, two weeks, I memorize your name in life. So you asked me about character named. It's like I could tell you about the setting and talked with scenic. Tell you about the artwork it could tell you about what's underlying themes are. But if you have to be about characters, you know there's a intense captain and there's a crew. There's, ah, missing throat. There's a little girl. There's a young woman, It's idealistic that goes to get him, and they're all foreign names to me, so it's hard to keep up with that. But, ah, if you're watching it, you know, vision your visual person like I am, then you just know who's who enough too much about, like the fact that I have holes in my ability, my cognitive ability. But I do, uh, the other thing, The other thing I watch Ah, I was watching his, Ah, a movie called Hells, which is about ah, young teenage girl that ah gets killed on her way to school and goes toe high school in hell.

spk_1:   39:29
Yeah, that's also an enemy that's on the crush. If you have the retro crush app, you can watch that show. Yeah, she find out she's in hell. Like is like, You know that's not a spoiler because the show is literally called hell. So again it tells you what it is. But going back to your comment about, like not memorizing characters, names like dragged across concrete. Dave, I don't really talk about this like I

spk_0:   39:53
know I want to see, though,

spk_1:   39:55
Yes, it's got Vince Vaughn and Mel Gibson. I didn't memorize their characters names, because it's a very dark story and you're just like, Oh, terrible things are gonna happen in this movie And, yeah, terrible things happen. I won't go into details about the terrible things, but the movie is not what I expected it to be like, Let's say that. And then Guy Ritchie has a new movie out. The gentleman Makana Hey! And Charlie Hu Nin, you know from the motorcycle show dies in here. You bring back view Grant, But now I'm gonna do I'm gonna do a recall and go all the way back to the When I was talking about the guy that does the pizza reviews, the cast of the gentleman actually did a review with that pizza guy, and they looked so they look so confused as to why they had to promote their movie on a pizza review. And they seem so unhappy about hanging out. She's a joint. It's it's great. It's like a train wreck. The movie's not, but the pizza review was kind of a train wreck. Then I went back and watched the 2122 Jump Street's You know that they made with comedies that came out like four years ago with

spk_2:   40:58
My Name Is Jack.

spk_1:   40:59
Yeah, exactly and stiff. No, go into details. Tell us your whole story, Jeff, what you were doing earlier. And when I do in the fake voices, yeah, that's a 22 beginning. He's like a set up. That's all saying that I watched another Jonah Hill. I went back and watched this thing about the Iraq war, where these two guys are profiting off profiteers who sell the guns for dogs. It's got Miles. Teller is the other guy in the movie, like two friends who are in Miami and they get back together and start a company. And they're bidding on government contracts to sell bullets, right? Two soldiers and stuff. It's kind of interesting.

spk_0:   41:35
It was. It was that I saw war dogs. It was kind of like Todd's lawns doing well. Scorsese Before he did Scorsese, it was like his good fellas version of a Scorsese movie. Yeah, not bad. I thought it was okay.

spk_1:   41:50
And then next week, well, the April's winding down enemies winding down. We will talk about one of my favorite Oh, I'm vampire Hunter D, which I think is a great if

spk_0:   42:01
I'm looking forward to this one of your

spk_1:   42:02
desert island and the guy could only pizza my desert island. Can you only pick one enemy? I'd just give me a copy of Amber Energy. Leave me alone. That's how good I think the movie is, So we'll watch vampire under the We'll talk about fine priority, but it's also, um, Mother's Day is coming up soon, so I thought we would do some like we'll pick some crazy mother movies. I'm not talking about like movies about mothers that are really heartwarming. And I'm talking about like What's the craziest fucking movie you can think of where, like the mom is maybe crazy or like we'll do like war movie Mom's or something. We'll do something that's not typical, right? But then we'll also talk about how much we love our moms. But we will. We will pick these weird mom

spk_0:   42:37
S. O. U S. Next are we starting now?

spk_1:   42:41
So tune in. We'll talk about crazy mom movies, and then we'll move right into our review of Remember 100. And that will be next week's awesome episode. Thank you, everybody. For tuning into this week's wild roller coaster episode that briefly mentioned a movie called Robot Carnival. There was a way talked about another great episode of Bench Waters with the binge. Watch this crew and Adam tell people where they could go and find us on the Internet if they want to involve themselves with more binge watchers material. Where what can they do?

spk_2:   43:08
Binge watchers dot com

spk_1:   43:10
Yeah, that works episode

spk_2:   43:19
and instagram and all the other good good

spk_1:   43:21
stuff out there. You g That's true. They're everywhere. They're everywhere now. I mean, jeez, Google us. We're like the number one podcast for binge watching. What?

spk_2:   43:41
What are the different platforms were on everything out. On what

spk_0:   43:45
way? We're not on Netflix.

spk_1:   43:51
Yeah, exactly. Or Peacock or somebody

spk_0:   43:55
that we're ready for.

spk_2:   43:56
Peacock is next. Don't say it like that. You just got man escaped.

spk_0:   44:11
Now we'll end up on like the TV screens of gas stations. Oh,

spk_1:   44:16
you know what I was thinking about putting on some billboards. They got these electronic billboards. Yeah, that's right. We'll be in a billboard in Ohio Way. Only afford to 10 seconds of a billboard in Ohio. Perfect Gas Station. You'll see his home like that. Gas station TV. What is that called like? I don't know what it's called, but it's like it's like having the movie theaters where you see, like an ad for like, a local like thing. You know,

it's like what? What cracks me about those things? It's like they're treating us to a gift. It's like I put the second I pulled the thing out and put the gas in. It starts in the second. I put the gassing and get back. It stops. It's like I didn't ask for this guy. It's a

team finish the interview with like blink 1 82 You gotta like Philip Several.

spk_0:   45:00
Yeah, I have to put like I had to keep on filling gas or you guys. I'm not gonna

spk_1:   45:10
I get spoiled gas station TV as well. Guess what? You're gonna get a tank of gas?

spk_0:   45:14
Yeah, a little bone.

spk_2:   45:16
Is that the plot? Well, I

spk_1:   45:19
don't know. I don't know. One theory like you might spend more money on more gas if you're watching the TV, right? And not paying

spk_0:   45:28
what I think they want you,

spk_1:   45:29
tank, and then you fill up half a tank. Then you had a full tank because you had to find out. You know what flavour of yogurt? The leader of bling quantity to likes to eat, you know, before he goes on stage.

spk_2:   45:38
Well, the best part of those ads is where they interrupt the interview or whatever with Blink went 82 they show you like a commercial for the gas that you are actively putting into your car. Way to go, Meta. I

spk_1:   45:53
gotta say this, though, and maybe I'm a sellout who wears a nice tie. I love advertisements, and I love having advertisers. You know, that's, uh, pays the bills? No, I like fast. Don't fast forward with your DVR. You want that? You watch that information that you need to have. Okay.

spk_2:   46:12
I was laying there. I was saying that because the ads were so well done. An impeccable, riveting,

spk_1:   46:19
riveting right? Like, who is the show? Just watch the credit I had. You did that. You had to get a full tank because you needed

spk_0:   46:29
I finished. I just wanted $10 worth $30. I needed

spk_2:   46:35
that crucial encouragement to know that the buying decision in the marketplace I had made was the best decision. And those ads were the best conduit to communicate that to me. So I was a confident buyer. I'm gonna

spk_1:   46:47
leave all this stuff in. Guys, I believe this. And after, like the official ending Like I'm just going after the big drum thing. I'm just gonna keep this going.

spk_0:   46:57
Do you think it's great? Yeah.
